Thank you so much Mr Frank, never too late to hear from you.

Please I also have a few challenges that I will appreciate your advise and that of our gurus on this platform (Mr Frank, Lekiboboe, OtunbaTee, JustMellow, etc.)

I have deferred till May 2021 but I am yet to notify IRCC because I do not have the new LOA from the school yet.

Also, how often can I keep sending webforms please as my application is way over processing time and I have sent webforms and mails once every week for the past 3 weeks without acknowledgment or update from the embassy asides my GCMS notes.

Lastly, my passport expires January 2022, I have 2 schools in mind, my current school which I deferred ends in March 202. This means the study permit to be issued is longer than the validity of my passport. Do you advise I renew now since it is still a year away before expiry or wait till close to end of this year to renew which by then, I would be in Canada as I plan to leave in April.

Please guys, I would appreciate your advise and responses on this. Thanks to you for your consistent help.

Hello Celoexpress,

Since you don't have the new admission letter now, there is no need notifying IRCC. Wait for the new LOA before being proactive about it.

Since you have up to a year left before PP expiry, you can always get your stamped visa up to the validity of the PP and thereafter, let's say 90 days to its expiry, you can always renew and apply for SP extension from within Canada.

If you think you have the available funds and a reliable connect in Abuja immigration, you can get it done. All that is required is a tangible reason why you're renewing a PP with 1yr validity to its expiry.

Best of Luck

Hello house, has anyone used flywire to make payments recently? Is their rate pocketly friendly and can I have an idea of what the rate is like.
I anticipate a feedback as I am looking for rates that won't send me back to our village o.
I have used it before to pay Application fee for Uni of Winnipeg and as I checked today is at 399/$ though it's fluctuating so you have to keep tab on though am planning on using it to pay for my tuition fees cuz that's the only platform my school uses so am monitoring it to see if it will go down

Good morning gurus in the house, pls I need your assistance on this issue that I have been thinking of recent.
For BSc I did International Law and Diplomacy, the course is just like international relations. I’m currently running my masters in Peace and Conflict studies in Ibadan.
I will be done with my masters this year by Gods grace I plan on going to Canada for another masters in CRIMINOLOGY. Pls do you think I will be accepted in criminology and mind you, I have no work experience in criminology. Also if not what courses do you think I can register for masters.
Hi,

While you await response from the Gurus & other HONORABLE Members.

They would likely be no career progression in going for another Masters, except you have a cogent reason for going for another Masters instead of a PH.D

Academic Progression wise, With your M.SC qualification, it's a PH.D that is expected of you,

Another thing for you to take note of is this,

Have you done a research on how your International Law & Diplomacy First degree & your M.SC in Peace and Conflict studies relates to CRIMINOLOGY

Hello everyone

My program is for 4 years starting fall 2021. Issue is my passport expires in June 2022. I would like to renew it now but I just did my NIN and I've been told that immigration will not be able to verify my NIN quickly so that I can renew my passport.

What would you advice me to do? Should I wait till I am able to renew my passport or should I apply for my study visa with my current passport?

Please I need your response .

Hello house.
Pls I am about to submit my application, my husband is my sponsor, I am going for a pgd in culinary management in Selkirk college, I am a matured student, iv worked as a lawyer for 12 years and changed career in 2019, I now work as a head cook/ baker. My concern is should I submit my bank statement on only 400k balance and inflow of 9million in 12 months statement? My husband is my sponsor, I have no landed document in my name but we have several in husbands name. Will my 400k balance give red light? If I do not submit, how do I proof my employment since I don’t get payslip? But only bank deposits.

Pls guru in the house should help. I have the statement already but don’t know wether to submit.

Good day maam. In your SOP, you're writing positively about yourself and why you want the VO to approve your application. You can diplomatically state that you stopped working in September due to the effect of the pandemic in your place of work, and you're applying to study a course in Canada that pertains to your work experience...its better than saying you were terminated. Shift the reason for the redundancy to your work place and covid 19 n not on yourself.

2. You do not need to mention your husband's refusal in your own application, since all applications are treated individually. You can only use him as home tie if you're going alone. And only talk about your own application and your intention of studying in Canada..
Other gurus can also add theirs...
It will end in praise..

Thankyou so much Sir @OtunbaTee.

The reason he isn't going for a master's is his BSc degree result. He doesn't have a 2.1

Didn't think the Polytechnic made a difference as long as it was a post graduate course. And from the past threads, it's only a PGC course in business that he can get with his current result.

Please let me know if there are other better choices. Would it be better to find a college with same course? As I noticed that Universities hardly do PGCs/PGDs.

OtunbaTee:
Referencing the attached note.

What the VO simply meant was, how can someone with BSc go for a programme in a polytechnic. That's a negative factor in the first instance. He might not even check the attached documents to read the LOE, if he did he would have noted that he plans to assume a position inline with the course of study.

1. I think to apply, the first thing to consider is a BSc holder should go for MSc ( their view)
2. Having HND should go for PGD( their view also)

So if they see an application of someone with Bsc going for a lower degree course, it usually raises an eyebrow as to intention of the applicant. He'll just conclude without checking letter of intent.
That's to the best of my knowledge, other gurus can add too..

Thankyou so much for your input. @JustMellow

We had tried to get admission for healthcare administration but that didn't come through. I guess we can try again.

Will give an update as soon as we receive the GCMS notes.

It's so sad that people will be refused for wrong reasons ....cos we are confused too about the personal assets and financial status comment

We pray this ends in praise soon enough.

Godbless

JustMellow:

Hello Cuddles7,

From the post, I see no issue that reflects the VO's concerns in regards to the Personal Asset & Financial Status.

From close observation, its just a blinded generic refusal for many January 2021 intake. When it happens like this, the only thought that comes to mind is the quota limit for the number of visa approval has been exhausted.

I really don't know how to proffer any advice at this moment in regards to this situation until the arrival of notes.

Writing a letter of consideration to the VO that handled the application is highly supported and is a good alternative for those that can't secure the service of an immigration lawyer.

Between, your spouse should have gone for any health management in business courses than a pure business management course.

Let's wait for the notes!

Best of Luck

Post graduate degree should work in his case instead of saskpoly..also it should be explained in his LOE why he's going for PGD
