Stone Brothers #1

Mountain Fever

Rate this book
A mountain rescue, a wicked blizzard, and three rugged, hot-as-sin brothers, who all want her. An accident sends Addie tumbling into our lives, shattering our quiet isolation. We're none too pleased about having an uninvited guest, especially since this storm's going to last a while. But she's got sweetness and sass, not to mention seriously tempting curves. Soon the fire isn't the only thing heating up our cabin, but once we've had her between us, letting her go might not be so easy...

The Stone Brothers is a sizzling reverse harem series featuring a sweet and fiery romance with intense chemistry, devilishly-handsome men with dirty mouths, firm hands, and hard, unprotected wood, enough steam to melt the snow right off the mountains, and a heart-tugging, emotional rollercoaster of a storyline.

Mountain Fever is book one of this reverse harem series set in the world of Meadowbrook.

Mountain Fever is the exact book I needed right as winter set in with its gray skies and cold temperatures. Imagine sexy, bearded woodsmen in thermals. Yep, no more gray skies. I was immediately transported up to Dante's Peak with a beautiful mountain view, deep snow, clear blue skies and a snowy fantasy dream come true. Addie hurting from the betrayal of her boyfriend heads to a mountain ski resort to enjoy their planned romantic getaway alone. One mishap leads to the next and barely escaping disaster, Addie is rescued and finds herself in the Stone Brothers family cabin during a surprise blizzard. Colt, Remi, and Wes Stone are talented craftsmen hidden up in the mountains trying to escape their family reputation. A warm fireplace, hot chocolate, and even hotter chemistry between the brothers and their unexpected houseguest lead to the best snow day ever!

This book is more than a steamy escape. Not to say that it's not steamy, IT IS! But it's so much more. The story is good, the setting is vivid, the characters are fantastic. Their connection so very believable. Their chemistry is off the charts hot. Addie is a beautiful, strong, likable female. The brothers are delicious. Bearded mountain men are usually not my type. I make an exception for these three! Colt with his thoughtful nature, Remi with his outer gruffness and insides like a melted marshmallow, and playful, happy tattooed Wes. The brothers' closeness and love for one another add to their attractiveness. Their shared past, the judgment cast on them, and their isolation set them up to be the perfect, attentive men that they are with Addie. I loved their every moment together.

Warning, it ends way before you want it to. The ending is at a natural stopping point but it is a cliffhanger. Luckily, we are only weeks away from the second book. I can't wait. I want so much more for these four. Makes me wonder if two books will be enough.

Well that was about as hot as you can find in a book. ;)

Like with the last two books I've read recently, this is a bit different from my norm. I've read a few reverse harem books that I liked well enough. Not bad but not overly memorable either. Mountain Fever is different. It's a well written story and one I'll remember for a long time. All the characters are likable and there's no real power struggle when things start getting heated. Sure, each brother is eager to be with Addie, but it never goes beyond a grumble here and there.

I loved it.

This ended on a cliffhanger so I'm off to read the next one.

Brokenhearted Addie ends up on the vacation planned by her boyfriend alone. However, she won't let the break-up ruin her mood. She'll enjoy skiing and the views from the mountain... if she doesn't get herself killed first. Addie is not familiar with mountain weather and attire so her attempt to read the mountain peak ends her falling down a ravine and being saved by three brothers who take her home with them. In such a close quarters, the four of them can't avoid the explosive heat and clothes start to come down.

For me this book is more 2.5 stars as I felt the story was poorly executed. There were instances where more could have been added and written about, and making the four characters feelings and intentions clearer.

Well I am surprised ! I love a good « we’re stuck in a cabin in the mountains because of a snowstorm » and I love RH, but based on the cover I was expecting maybe a cliché book or something a bit wattpadey but it was really good and cute !

This was my first story by the dynamic duo of Bethany Jadin and I CANNOT wait to read more from them!! I definitely was sucked into the story from the beginning, after Addie threw the dbag's shoes in down the storm drain haha. I knew right then I was going to love this story!

I think the authors did a great job at making this more reasonable and not some farfetched fantasy (I mean it kinda is, who hasn't dreamed about being stuck in a cabin with 3 hot guys haha). The guys were real and so was Addie's feelings which made it hard to put my iPad down during the holiday celebrations, thats for sure 😊. I loved the little touches that they added, like Daisy and Ann, and the surprises for Addie. There were some definitely swoon worthy moments and some awwwww moments. But holy moly, if you need a read to heat you up during these winter months, this one takes the cake. I had each brother kinda pegged and was off about 2 of them which was amazing in a good way. I had a tough time picking my favorite and added all of them to my book bf list (which is getting ridiculously long btw!). I loved how gentle Remi could be (but his time with Addie I thought was the hottest), how mopey Wes was, how Colt missed her while she was still there until she grabbed his hand, and that all of them read/one listens to audiobooks.

I wish these men existed in real life, I would get on a waiting list to have a shot with them haha. I am super eager for Book 2 in this duet. I need to know how this story ends (not a bad cliffy) and need to see more of the characters' walls come down and they give into their feelings. Amazing job, Bethany Jadin!! Already preordered Book 2 in the Duet and downloaded their other series to start reading I get through the other books in my "to read" line-up ❤️

Mountain Fever by Elaina Jadin and Bethany Jadin is one of the first romances I’ve read in a long time. I’ve been in a romance funk and this one got me out of it!

First off, this is a reverse harem romance with one woman and three men. I was temporarily confused because I thought the cover makes it look like there are four men, but there’s “only” three. 😂 This is the first book in the Stone Brothers series.

I am a sucker for a forced proximity/snowed in together story! This one features Addie, who’s recently heartbroken. On the mend from her cheating ex, she takes a trip to a posh mountain resort. While exploring, she heads off the trail and gets herself into a bit of a scrape–and into the arms of the three Stone brothers: Colt, Remi, and Wes.

Hello, Stone brothers! Truth be told, I got the three of them confused a lot even though they have different personalities because they’re all grumpy, reclusive mountain men (but hot, not like Duck Dynasty or something). I also got them confused during the sex scenes but let’s be real, there are three guys so who’s keeping track? 🙈

This is a surprisingly emotional story that I really connected with. I became invested in the characters’ relationships with each other. There were a couple moments when I side-eyed Addie’s actions a bit, but for the most part I really liked her.

Please note, there is a cliffhanger ending but if you get the boxed set, you can dive right into the second book right away!

Well, call me surprised.

Going into this, based on the blurb and cover, I was expecting an "okay" RH romance about some mountain men and a damsel in distress. I'll admit I've read quite a few like that. Mostly 3ish star reviews. But nope. This one was MORE. It was SO much more than that. I mean, wow. It had the feel (like it "could have been") of a cheesy, easy, sweet, plain romance with a few generic sexy times but it was executed in a way that created FANTASTIC characters, romance, and plot. It WAS easy and sweet, but it was also funny, heartwarming, and sexy AF. Y'all, YES. 🥵

I loved Addie. She was sweet, spunky, and honest in her sexual desires. I loved Wes, Colt, and Remi. Distinct personalities and I laughed so hard at their brotherly banter. The plot moved quickly and isn't complete, but it worked so well. I am dying to find out what happens next so I'm jumping into the next (and final) book of the duet. I am already recommending this RH if you're looking for a light, adorable, sexy trope. These are nice to devour in one afternoon!

Love it!

Mountain Fever is the first book in ‘The Stone Brothers Duet,’ from author Bethany Jadin. This story is incredibly spicy, and the storyline captivated me from the very first page! I could relate to Addie and loved that she is a strong-willed woman.  After what happened, Addie went on the vacation by herself. There were some amusing scenes while she was trying to skiing! But the real fun happened when she went for a hike by herself.

Remy, Colt, and Wes live in a cabin up on the mountain, away from the town. They discovered Addie just as a big winter storm hit and strands them in the cabin. And let me tell you, those men are so dang hot, you will need a fan!  Now knowing this is a duet, expect the story to end with a cliffhanger.  Even though I knew it was coming, I still yelled when it came. The good news is that the second book, Mountain Cure, is due to release on December 31st.

A definite add to your TBR list!!

This story will be sure to warm you up on a cold blizzard night!

I am normally not a huge fan of insta-attraction/love stories but this author is making me change my tune. This author's story once again sucked me into the Addie's life and I literally could not put the book down. Bethany Jadin has the amazing skill of world-building and I am a huge fan of her character development in this novel, especially with the Stone Brothers!

This story was engaging from page one and I really connected with Addie as the main character. She was a quirky, down on her luck girl that turns it all around when she gets trapped in a blizzard with the 3 Stone Brothers. I don't want to spoil anything but this is definitely a must-read for fans of romance.

This book is a fast-paced novel that is perfect to read if you need a break from your family members this holiday season. Just beware that there is a cliffhanger at the end of this novel! But the sequel is coming out soon so reading this book as soon as possible will get you ready for the sequel!

This is my first time reading this author. I typically read PRN and UF reverse harem, very rarely do I read contemporary reverse harem romance. And the reason being... *most of those books have weirdly placed BDSM (like all of a sudden he springs it on her without any discussion) or there's Daddy Dom thrown in.
This is NOT the case.
Mountain Fever has plain old down and dirty sexy times. It's hot without any of the "extra's" I mentioned above. It's descriptive and leaves you panty melting hot. Seriously.
The story is smooth and the brothers parry each other in witty dialogue. I felt like I was in the room witnessing true brothers verbally sparring with each other. It was great!
The heroine is sweet and a go getter. I really enjoyed how there is NO wish-washiness or regrets or guilt. She owns it and takes their sexiness. Lol.
It does end on a cliffhanger but it's nothing heart wrenching. Just leading us into round 2 with hopefully some more super charged sexy times!!!

Okay, whoa. Ladies, better prepare that fan because it will sure get hot in here.

What’s a better way to get over your lying and cheating boyfriend?
1. Go to that planned holiday getaway alone – check!
2. Enjoy and pamper yourself – check!
3. Meet hot new guys – oh yes, triple check! (pun intended)

Mountain Fever is a fun and steamy contemporary romance. I love the realistic tone of the story and the characters are so relatable. It is definitely a story that you could connect to and that makes this book perfect for me. It ends in a cliffhanger and thankfully, I will not have to wait very long for the next one.

I received an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Just like hot chocolate spiked with peppermint schnapps. Hot, sweet, steamy, delicious, and oh so naughty. Did I mention hot and steamy? After Addie discovers her boyfriend with another woman, in her own bed, in her own apartment, she decides to take their romantic trip for two on her own. I mean, it was already paid for, and not by her, so why let a mountain retreat go to waste?

Then she stumbles, literally, into the world of the three rugged Stone brothers. Colt, Remi, and Wes make their living in the mountains, making beautiful furniture and trying to avoid the tourists. But they can’t quite avoid the little spitfire that is Addie, and they definitely can’t escape the smoking hot chemistry.

When I chose this book, I just assumed it would be a quick, meaningless, but steamy read. Totally not what I expected. I NEVER give 5 stars, but this one and it’s sequel really got me. Great story line, wonderful, detailed characters, and extremely well written steamy scenes with absolutely no cheesy details that typically accompany RH books. Bad proofreading and grammatical errors are a pet peeve of mine and this only had one. The dog, Daisy, was a white lab in the first book and a Golden retriever in the second one. Still, didn’t bother me enough to lower my opinion of what the rating should be. I’m going to see what else Bethany Jadin has written!

I went into this looking for a steamy read but what I got was so much more! The characters came to life with such depth and emotion that I easily found myself attached to them and invested in their stories. They have the kind of backstories and layers that'll make your heart ache while also piecing it back together with love and support. The chemistry between Addie and the Stone Brothers was off the charts. The steamy scenes were exceptionally done and hot as their cabin fireplace. I finished and immediately grabbed book two! A great series for those who want it all- romance, complex story, and sexy times.

WOW!! This book is really good. Addie, Remi, Colt and Wes are perfect characters. Addie just found out her boyfriend has been cheating and takes the vacation they were supposed to take together. The Stone brothers live a private life in the mountains when Addie literally stumbles upon them. These are strong alpha men who know what they want, but Addie knows what she wants too. Things heat up pretty quickly. There are lots of laughs and lots of steamy scenes. This book has a good story to go along with the steam and won't disappoint. I can't wait for the next book!

Let me just say that if you haven’t bought Mountain Fever...you should get on that. The MC is hilarious and I love the way she deals with all the crazy in her life.
The guys she meets on the mountain all have the best personalities and uhm packages. I mean charisma. 😉 their banter and zero F’s given attitude is probably my favorite.
As you guys probably have realized from The Code Series, our favorite writing team has left us wanting more. (Don’t worry. They have book 2 coming out soon already!)

Holy hotness describes this book perfectly. It is packed full of levels of heat that will quite literally have you squirming in your seat, but don't worry there's also a storyline to and it's a decent one. I loved and enjoyed every minute of this book and oh how I wish I could be Addie, stranded in the mountains with the three, steaming hot, Stone brothers. This book is the first of two and luckily it's not long to wait for the next book to release. I've really enjoyed this, five stars from me and I can't wait for book two.

Mountain Fever is a fun, steamy story about the Stone brothers and Addie. Addie heads to the mountains after catching her boyfriend in her bed with another woman. While hiking Addie stumbles across the Stone brothers just as a winter storm hits. Back at their cabin things heat up and the fun begins. This is a hot delicious reverse harem read that captivated me from the first page until the cliffhanger. I can't wait to read the next book in this duet to find out what happens next. *I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

Okay I think I need my own hot sexy mountain men now after reading this book. We meet Addie just as she catches her douche of a BF cheating on her which causes her to go on their prepaid mountain vacation without him. She stays in a five star resort but gets bored after awhile all by herself so she goes on a hike where she proceeds to fall over a ravine only to be rescued by three sexy mountain man brothers that will pretty much change her life forever. After some steamy together the book ends just a a surprise is coming our way which sets up book two quite nicely even if it does leave you wanting more now. A must read for fans of steamy contemporary reverse harem novels. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

I really loved this. Despite my love of the author's plots and writing style, I half expected a few tropes to pop their heads up, and those generally annoy me. I'm so glad to say that is not the case. Yes you might be able to figure out what's just about to happen but it's never one of those overdone, read it a million times kind of thing. The MC is funny and brilliant, the guys are distinct and don't just fawn about over her. Overall I would highly recommend for anyone who loves RH, mountain men, and capable female MCs.

Hot and Sweet

Nursing a broken heart, Addie loses herself in the mountains and in the mountain man candy she finds. Yeah, it's pretty steamy. There's nothing like people losing themselves in fun and pleasure.

The Stone brothers don't really have time to spend on other people. They work a lot and enjoy their time in the mountains. Stumbling upon a beautiful woman gives them a much needed distraction. Maybe all work and no play is making their lives rather dull. Let the playtime commence.

I'm hoping the 2nd book is just as decadent.

First off, I love Addie! Her douche of a boyfriend cheats so she bolts AND still goes on their winter vacation by herself. Good for her! And then she’s presented with the opportunity to be worshipped and devoured by the Stone brothers and she’s all like “why not?!?!”

The Stone brothers are hilarious and so attentive to her. Colt, Remi, and Wes were such good guys. And they were so enthralled with Addie! I love how they fought over her but never made her feel bad or like she had to choose.

I will say that almost nothing really happens during this book but I so enjoyed it nonetheless.

Ugh this book! Three hot burly bearded brothers...seclusion...sexual tension and no inhibitions and genuinely good guys! Need I say more. There is nothing hotter then and manly man and there are THREE in this book! I love the drama of the beginning and the conflict of the main character. The guys are amazing and seem to have a family secret that I’m dying to find out about in book two I’m hoping! It is so hot and steamy but sweet and intriguing at the same time. Love this book!
