Advance Wars is a series of tactical war games developed by Intelligent Systems, Hudson Soft and Wayforward for Nintendo consoles. Battalion Wars is a real-time tactics spin-off series developed by Kuju Entertainment. We talk about them all here!
Theory: Orange Star Andy is the clone on an intelligence gathering mission.
I don't actually believe this but it's something fun I thought of and somewhat makes sense. Andy was a very new CO in AW2 and joined when Orange Star were at war with Blue Moon. They probably skipped proper background checks on him and his facade of being naïve and "what's an airport?" caused the Orange Star COs to lower their guard. In AW1 you travel across War Worlds fighting all the other armies due to "Clone Andy". Orange Star could be seen as the bad guys in a way. This weakened all the countries armies and with Andy in the inside of Orange allowed his double agent to gain info from within Orange Star. Black Hole only appeared at the end when all the armies were weak. That's probably why they didn't launch on a full frontal assault on the other countries like in Advance Wars 2. Now in Advance Wars 2, Black Hole have the upper hand. Green Earth have almost been defeated. This could be due to the Intel Andy gathered in AW1. Not to mention there is a double agent at the end of AW2. Instead of a random infantry, could it have been Andy. And this is just circumstantial, but hyper repair. An ability to heal all your units is unique, does anyone in Black Hole have a similar ability? Hawke's Black Storm. In short, Andy knows damn well what an airport is, he's just playing dumb as a cover for being a double agent.
I think this'd be interesting as a part of a storyline to a hack! Very interesting theory.
