He appeared in 19 seasons totaling 250 episodes. Before he came on board the series, Wolfe and Fritz were business partners and friends with a lot of history between them.
The show’s premise required the duo, along with Danielle, to travel far and wide in search of vintage items to purchase and then sell to customers that visited their stores. Antique Archaeology, located in Le Claire, Iowa, and Nashville, Tennessee, is owned by Wolfe, while Fritz’s business is based in Savannah, Georgia.

Given their shared love for antiques and complementary personalities, the duo made the perfect team for American Pickers. However, Frank’s stint on the show ended with Season 21, Episode 13, titled ‘Burlesque Queen.’
Mike Wolfe Prays For Frank’s Speedy Recovery
Since then, Frank’s absence from the show has brought in negative emotions from fans. Talking about his return to the show, the reality star told The Sun, “I would like to come back to the show, but we will see.”
He added: “I was doing it for 11 years, but there is a lot of controversy going on right now. It’s up to the network whether I come back on the show,” he continued, “It ain’t gonna affect me one bit. I didn’t leave the show. I finished shooting, and then I had a little back surgery, and the pandemic came.”

The very same day, Mike revealed that Frank wouldn’t be returning to the show in the follow-up seasons. On July 21, 2022, Mike updated on Instagram that Frank suffered a stroke and is in the hospital. He asked fans to pray for his friend’s speedy recovery.

American Pickers is a complete flop without Frank on the show. I think Mike is a phony. Maybe Mike decided he was the whole show. WRONG. I can’t see Frank ever back on the show. That ship has sailed. I can’t see them working together again. If Frank gets the old car show he’s mentioned. I’ll watch it. I’m through with Pickers though. Mikes brother is not a good replacement for Frank.

Hope Frank is doing well after his stroke. I wish him well. I just wanted to let the history channel know the show is not them same without Frank. I like Mike and enjoy his knowledge of many thing, but Frank is what made the show , there chemistry just worked, they just knew there stuff, and sorry Mike’s brother nope. Please bring back Frank.
I think the show was so successful because of the chemistry between Mike and Frank. Add Danielle and the trio is solid! Their patience is amazing! Their skills in spotting items and the history and value is impressive. Mostly I like how they draw people out and they feel comfortable telling their story when they are on a pick. Nobody could take their place. I like Rob fine but not in this show. Frank and Mike are the “American Pickers”!
