questions stolen from madman101 who took them from someone else...

What would you name your boat, if you had one? maybe The Orca to commemorate my trauma from Jaws

What situation did you see a lot on television as a kid that you thought might be something you would have to deal with a lot as an adult, but wasn't that big a thing after all? dating scenarios. i was never popular nor well socialized, so i didn't ever really experience what i thought would be normal relationships. what i did have wasn't easy and was more often painful than not, but i had spent a lot of time thinking about what life would be like with boyfriends and maybe a life partner (although i didn't use that phrase at the time). it was all for nothing, or never became any big thing for me whether i wanted it to or not.

What strange thing did you actually believe was true before you found out it wasn't?

i though you would get pregnant just by being around boys for long periods of time.

"Live, Laugh, Love"...what dumb slogan are you just tired of seeing?
make america great again. that doesn't mean anything. it's just rhetoric. there has always been good and bad, just different concentrations. you can never go back to something, only move forward in a chosen direction. and great for whom? who gets to define great? one person's great may be another person's horror. this slogan doesn't define it. say what you mean.

What is the best purchase you've ever made, what was the worst?
med school was the worst, mostly because i was unsuccessful at becoming a licensed physician with a doctor's salary, so i can never pay it off and will have massive debt until i'm dead. depressing. if you look at it altruistically, i still helped a lot of people in my short run as a student and intern, but i feel bitter because i wanted at least a little reward for myself for all my hard work for once. nope. i'm not sure what the best was. i'm not much of a shopper nor a materialist. i still have my plastic yellow "happy" bowl that i bought when i first got my own apartment. i still use it frequently, and it still gives me a little boost of cheer.

Where is the worst smelling place you've ever been?
the absolute worst smells were transient, so not really the place, per se. i've known a couple of people whose houses were rough to be in because they had male cats spraying uncontrolled. they had given up cleaning it, and i figure they must have gone nose blind to how strong it smelled. rotting fish left out in the summer heat in my work place's parking lot might have even beat out festering wound and death smell for overall worst smell experience. someone with a stronger stomach or deader nose had to clean that up because i couldn't get close without going into dry heaves.

What is your most interesting useless talent? Can you wiggle your ears, or draw a perfect circle, or imitate a bird?
i'm a cat charmer (not of Jackson Galaxy's quality, but they like me a lot). well, most animals. i don't get out much anymore, but i've had a lot of experiences with wildlife coming up to me. i have a quiet spirit, i guess or at least i used to. people i don't know have hugged me sometimes, too, but, ew...people. they stress out my introverted little self when they do that.
