Finally got a good run with the Illesctrian A with its horrible starting conditions. Two mod missiles with cooldown and accuracy. Elite boarding drone squad. Stealth. Ended up being a pretty fun run

So… I just stayed up until 1am (I know, stupid) playing with the Stealth Cruiser for the first time. I wanted to unlock the B variant, and got the first achievement pretty easily.

Everything else went great, until I reached the very end of sector 7, where the ONLY paths available to me contained environmental dangers.

I could not believe my eyes. The absolutely indescribable bad luck I had, to make it literally to the final step, then encounter that. I just stared at my screen for a good 5 minutes then vented everyone and quit. Gotta try again tomorrow I guess!

(For those unaware, one of the achievements to unlock variant B for Stealth is to make it to sector 8 without traveling through any hazards, e.g. ion storms)

I know there’s the “negate 9 points of damage with one cloak” but isn’t the flagship the only ship you can complete that with? Tips welcome.

Edit: I just scrolled to see someone else with the same issue. I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!

What a way to die... They had 3 crew board before I could do anything and then they just kept hitting everything... Breach II bomb missed the first time and on top of that no chance to run away... Actually already lost crew because they got a fire to start in weapons after disabling the drone control... I had 10 hull at the start of this fight.

Any other FTL YouTube content creators getting revenue sharing flags on their recent FTL uploads? I posted this in my YouTube community tab, but I've never seen this until recently. I love Ben Prunty and his music is amazing...but I don't think I've had revenue sharing ever happen for a video game's music before...certainly never for FTL. I don't want to turn off FTL's music when I play it on stream and upload it to YouTube, but I think I might have to start doing this if every video is going to be flagged for revenue sharing?

Hi, im rly lost as to what the meta is after going 2 points into shields and a point into engines.

My idea is to prioritize having a defense drone up,even buying a standalone defense drone and the system later if needed. But isn't it better, in general (not ship depended), to search for a weapon? Maybe hacking first and buy drones supplies if you are low on them? Playing on hard no pause and current ship is Crystal A. I dislike that the original weapons of Crystal a have no synergy with the rest of the weapons in the game.

Should I commit further to bolstering my shields to level 6, a gnawing fear tugs at my resolve — such dedication to defense might leave my offense pitifully underpowered.

I am thinking of installing the FTL Multiverse mod but first I need to know, does the installer create a new "app". what I mean does it create a separate thing to the original game or does it change the original,
