How do I play with Akinator?
Akinator's all-consuming passion is trying to guess characters by asking questions.
To play with him, think of a character, real or fictional, keep it well in mind and then click on the menu "play > characters".
Akinator will then proceed to ask you a series of questions that you'll have to answer as truthfully as possible. After this series of questions, he will tell you what you were thinking of.
What's Akinator's secret?
Akinator uses the program Limule published by Elokence.com. The algorithm we use is an original creation. How we created it is our little secret.

How can I upload a picture?
At the end of a game, when Akinator has guessed the character you were thinking of, you can add or suggest a picture for that character.
The user agrees not to upload pictures that they are not sure can be used freely and without limitations.
1. Add a picture:
The character you've played does not have a picture. If you want to add a picture, you have to click on "Send a picture" and follow the instructions.
2. Suggest a picture:
The character you've played already has a picture. If you wish to suggest a new one, you have to click on "Suggest a picture" and follow the instructions.
In both cases:
- you have to declare that "You have read and accepted the Terms of Service. By uploading this picture, you declare that you have the right to publish it."
- the new picture will only be visible once the moderator has accepted and validated it (see article 4.Moderation).
How can I add a character?
Characters that can be added to Akinator's database can only be public figures. The user is asked not to add people that don't belong to that category, in particular people they know personally, even if these people agree to it.
1. At the end of a game, once Akinator has guessed the character you were thinking of, you can modify the name of that character. You'll have to click on "Suggest a new name". You will then be asked to enter the new name, a very short description (a word or two) so that this character is not mistaken with another with the same name and an optional comment to explain why you wanted to modify the name of the character. Your suggestion will be implemented once accepted and validated by the moderator (see article 4. Moderation).
2. At the end of a game, if Akinator did not guess the character you were thinking of, you can add that character to Akinator's database.
- If Akinator finds similarities to other characters from his database, he will give you a list of characters.
• If your character only appears once in the list, you'll just have to select it.
• If your character appears several times in the list, you'll have to click on “My character appears several times” and then select all the instances of that character in the list.
• If your character does not appear in the list, you'll have to click on “My character is not in the list” and enter its Name and a very short Description.
- If Akinator can't find any similarity to any character from his database, you'll be able to add your character by entering its Name and a very short Description.
- In all cases, what you've added will be implemented immediately but might be deleted afterwards by the moderator (see article 4. Moderation).
How can I add a question?
At the end of a game, once Akinator has guessed the character you were thinking of, you can add a question by clicking on “Add a question”. You will have to enter one (or several) keyword(s) from your question.
- If Akinator finds similarities to existing questions from his database, he will give you a list of questions.
1. If your question appears in the list, you'll have to select it and add info to it.
2. If your question does not appear in the list, you'll have to click on “Click here” to add your question and add info to it.
- If Akinator does not find any similarity to any existing question from the database, you'll be able to add your question and add info to it.
- All questions suggested will only be implemented once the moderator has accepted and validated them (see article 4. Moderation).
