[NSFW] Strippers/Exotic Dancers of Reddit, does anyone that you consider attractive ever come in, if so do you treat them differently?
I know most girls/guys at those kinds of bars basically fake liking all the customers, but is there anyone that you actually consider attractive? If so, how do you treat them differently than other the other people that come in?

Ex-stripper here in America, when a group of attractive guys came walking in (especially from a different country with accents) most of the girls would flock to them and even talk about "how cute those Australian boys are" in the break room. It would be more entertaining for us to do dances with them, but at the end of the day they are still business and we can't waste all our time drooling over them.
That's about the gist of it. Frankly, the most attractive person who can come into a strip club is an older, sedate, well-mannered, wealthy man who spends a large amount of money in a small amount of time, gives lots of compliments and leaves without trying to get anyone's number.

... and it must be spelled that way.

Haha it was both really. We had a room where we had our lockers, chairs, mirrors, bathroom, and microwave all in one. It was our go-to place without having to be outside.

We could comfortably go out alone as long as our bodies were moderately clothed. We only went out front and there were big door guys right there trying to get people in and it was right in a public place so there was no real danger of getting snached up. Plus, it was a great way to advertise ourselves out front for guys who aren't sure of coming in yet ;)
I can't help but feel that PROSTITUTE_STRANGLER has a motive here...
Everybody automatically thinks your name means you strangle prostitutes, but it's comments like this that make me think otherwise. See I think that you are a prostitute, one who strangles their clients that get out of line. You rove the city like a slutty Batman, cleaning the streets of the scum that make life difficult for your prostitute brethren. I just want you to know I'm on to you, keep up the good work.

PROSTITUTE_STRANGLER showing concern for strippers.
Showing concern or looking for an opportunity?!
Aww man, I'm not denying that there are woman who become strippers as a 'final resort to financial struggles' but that's generally not the rule.
There's a serious stigma around strippers (and sex workers) that they've got no other choice than to work in this field. In reality 7/10 woman will love their job, be in it for the (ridiculous) money and/or the feelings of liberation. I've only ever met one woman who started because it was her final resort, and she ended up staying a lot longer than she needed to because, seriously, where else can you earn $1000 a night?
I know a few strippers that wouldn't want to live any other way. One girl I know started in her home state but has now traveled to Las Vegas, New York, Oregon and California stripping. She has a job that gives you the opertunity to work almost anywhere. She goes skydiving, rock climbing, and racing. The only thing she complains about is that the clubs she works for have taken anywhere from 40-60 percent of the "tips".
So if they make so much money how come they don't invest? Where are all the damn rich ex-strippers?
Turns out cocaine is a bad investment.
Heres my input. Im an ex-stripper who is about to go back to dancing.
Most girls start dancing young - like 18/19. These girls are thinking about making a quick buck and partying. Investing is not I'm their mindset - they dont even know how taxes work.
About 40%-50% of a dancers income goes back into her appearance to make more money. Tanning, clothes, nails, hair, extensions, cigarettes, gas, jewelry, second phones - staying "in shape" is surprisingly expensive. Stripper gear; t-backs, shoes, pasties etc, are priced hella expensive because they know the dancers who buy them make a lot of money. A pair of stripper shows costs $90 where I worked. And you go through those quickly.
Also, they get accustomed to a certain lifestyle. With anyone, the more money you make, the quicker you spend it. It's tempting to show off when you're that young. They also, incorrectly, assume that that kind of income will stay constant, when in fact it fluctuates randomly. One week you could make $1000 the next week you could barely break $100. Then you're scrounging for rent money.
I know a few, just a handful, of dancers who did invest. One lost it all in a deal gone wrong, and the other was rich as fuck, but was still dancing, and had been dancing for about 20 years. This girl boggled my mind. She worked everyday, from opening to close, and hustled like I've never seen, even though she was early 40's and plastic surgeoned up. I met her husband, her son and went to her house. It was a mansion, and yet she danced to exhaustion because she enjoyed it.
You'll meet the dancers who are in it for life, been dancing 20 years until their tits shrivel up. But most don't last that long. Some girls are looking for a knight in shining armor so they dont have to work anymore, some are in it for a few months then leave because it's too difficult to deal with, and a few treat it like a real job.
It's hard to get loans or credit cards, because you have no proof of income. Some are afraid of claiming taxes, or simply just don't know how. So you're stuck in the cycle of being poor, where you have to rent because you can't buy a house, or you're stuck with that piece of crap car that breaks down constantly because no one will approve you for a loan. Yet I still roll my eyes at the girls who come crying that they can't afford their rent that month, because 80% of the time its because they spend irresponsibly. "of course you can't afford rent, you just took 2 weeks off and spent all your money on xanax."
What I've come to realize is that stripping does not equal big money. I've had nights where I lost money, or only made $50. Dancers should definitely be saving money for a bad week or month, but most don't think that far ahead. dancing is also a hard cycle to break, once you start and get that one awesome night, it's hard to think about going back to a regular job.
Edit: usually the girls who make a lot of money and invest, will not quit dancing. They stick in for the long haul and retire early. They also don't talk/brag about their finance habits, either. Most girls quit because they arent making a lot of money, or have found a significant other who makes the major income (or let's face it, the new SO wants them to quit). Most dancers do live paycheck to paycheck.
I've learned wear a tie and you get all the strippers.
Wear only a tie and you get escorted.
:\
TIL wearing only a tie turns strippers into escorts.
I'm a lady who occasionally goes to male strip clubs. Uniforms and construction workers seem more popular, but occasionally see a guy with a tie... He gets my tips.
Dress like their father on the day he left.
A lap dance is always better when the stripper is crying.
You would not believe how hard it is to polish the one eyed goat while driving an 18 wheeler to a picture on a half gallon of moo juice
"You can not imagine how difficult it is to hold a half gallon of moo juice and polish the one-eyed gopher when you're doin' seventy-five in an eighteen-wheeler."

Surprise.
You say this, but i the first time me and my friends went to Vegas(2002), we asked around to see what the best strip clubs were. after a few ok places, around 4 am we ended up going to a place called the Crazy Horse. We sat down and after the waitress took our order, a few girls walked by and started to talk to us. One of them took one of my friends to get a lap dance and so it was me and my friend and two other girls( strippers). The one who approached me sat in my lap. At this time in my life, i had no idea how to talk to women, let alone a stripper. So she started asking me questions, so i did the same, asking her about her past, plans for the future, education, parents...and then she started to cry. I had no idea what to do, but she excused herself and left our area. That, to this day, is one of the things i will never forget.
Damn, that's cold.
My roommate is a stripper. She said for sure, because generally the guys who are dressed really nice or just cleaned up looking have more money. Not because she wants to get with them (she has a BF)

If strippers can 'trick' a guy into showering and looking / smelling nice in exchange for better service, I'd say mission fucking accomplished.

I agree. Although not always true, the guy who looks like he wouldn't need to pay for sex always gets me more. And it's easier to pretend to be attracted to someone who's actually attractive.
Please don't be a relevant username.
Maybe Mr Stranglers girlfriend just has an asphyxiation kink? Please let it be that
Yes she enjoys it when I choke her during sex. She get's really turned. I do as well. Whenever she asks me to do it I end up cumming while I'm choking her. I love my woman.
i'm gonna have to ask Ms. u/STRANGLED-PROSTITUTE for confirmation

My buddy had a stripper for an old lady. She uses to bring home 3000 usd in one night. She said she didn't do extras, I never had the heart to tell him this was most likely a lie.
In my experience, it's the complete opposite. The well dressed ones think they can just get away with it. And sometimes they do.
The downhome redneck types are usually pretty respectful overall.
Source: Worked in strip clubs for 10 years.
Yes and yes.
I'll spend more time with someone attractive for less money. Just like with women I'm sure, being pretty makes you easier to deal with. It makes dances easier as well and I'm sure I try a bit harder, probably just because I'm also kinda into it. (This doesn't happen often.) It makes the night a bit easier though.
In three years, I've picked up two guys from the club, neither lasted very long at all, probably because of the circumstances we met under. Its hard to overcome the stripper/patron relationship once its started that way.
I dated a stripper once. We didn't meet at the strip club though, I later found out she was a dancer. The relationship can still be troublesome. I had no problems with her doing it, but as I started to care about her I became more concerned about her safety. That was the hard part. All her stories about being roofied and in dangerous situations were difficult to shrug off. On top of that, when all your friends and coworkers find out who you are dating it becomes a bigger mess. Your guy friends will think you're the man, the girls are different. Some will think you actually have something to offer if you landed a stripper, the others will just think you have a STD. All around it's hard to deal with, especially when you start to like the person. I'm happy to have had her in my life but as difficult it is to say, I'm glad she broke up with me, she changed me for the better.
Yes to all of this. I dated one stripper and have had weeks to month long flings with a handful of others and it is difficult. Most of the things you mentioned are things I've noticed too. I'd drop her off and pick her up from work oftentimes because of obsessive customers or crazy ex's threats. Women will be very judgmental of you for it like you said.
Another thing I dealt with when in relationship with models and strippers is they may like you but there are so many other options. Many (not all) get a "my shit don't stink"-syndrome. They'll almost always think they are right and if you don't agree then you are wrong - not much empathy and looking at things from others' views.. I think many build a coping mechanism for other peoples' judgement where their attitude becomes "I am who I am, and if you don't like it then go fuck yourself" - which is fine in some cases, but sometimes they are wrong and they struggle to see/admit it. And if they get bored or annoyed with any little thing about you, they know they can just leave you and find something new in a day or two anyways, so why really invest in someone. This obviously isn't the case with all strippers, but I've seen it in the majority of the ones I've been close to.
I made my first stripper friend last year and wholeheartedly agree after knowing her this long.
I gave a stripper a dollar once and she put her boobs in my face, so I guess you could say things are getting pretty serious.
So, when's the wedding?
What? To shreds you say.
Same story here, 7 years ago I was a dancer. On November 3rd, 2006 I picked up a shift I didn't want to take as a favor. While I was on stage the hottest guy I had ever seen in "real life" walked in. After he got himself a drink & played a little video poker, he came up and sat down where I was dancing. I was immediately flustered. All I could think was "this guy is ridiculously good looking, don't do anything to make yourself look like an idiot". After my set on stage was over he asked me for a lap dance. I nervously obliged. After the lapdance we just sat there & talked for the next 4 hours. We had a very real connection & I knew right away he was it for me. Right then and there I revealed my real name & we exchanged phone numbers. I quit dancing 3 weeks later and we married less than a year later. He is the man of my dreams that I happened to meet while I was stripping. We will never tell our kids the real story, only millions of strangers via reddit will know. Upside to marrying a stripper? Free lap dances for life.
As a female, I'd like to see a picture of your husband.
As a male, I'd like to see a picture of her husband as well.
He apparently let himself go http://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/19u5b2/how_do_i_tell_my_husband_he_needs_to_lose_weight/
yeash..ouch.

Sure, but I'm gonna need more than a few minutes for a response with substance. Give me a few hours to reassemble my past in my brain as well as I can and I will most happily revisit this later today or as long as I can get to something of worth down in words. I have always thought about putting it down on paper anyways, I just never did.

My life to most may seem very boring. I am a 38 year old Remarried father of 3 girls and finally a son. My 2 youngest are under the age of 3. My life is not my own anymore. I have a decent job and collect a paycheck at the end of the week and give my boss the finger. In 1999 I married my now ex-wife. We first met in the summer of 1996 while some mutual friends and I went to a bar. I had known she was a stripper and I had a girlfriend at the time. We hooked up that night and saw each other for a few months throughout the summer. I never went to her workplace. We stopped seeing each other after a few months and that was that. Fast forward a few months, and I was hanging out with some friends and her sister called and wanted to know what we were up to. She wanted to talk to me so I got on the phone. She said she wanted to come pick me up wherever I was. Why the hell not? So she did, and I had more porno style sex than ever before. We started "dating" and I got all stupid and jealous and told her to quit or I didn't want to see her anymore. She called my bluff, and quit. We got a place together she got a real job. She was actually quite smart, she had a bachelor's degree and I was working on mine and working at the same time. Life was ok. We had a nice apartment and a dog. No talk of kids. One might she came to me with the thought of going back to dancing because the money was just too good. I agreed. I will be revisiting, I promise. I have been watching my kids and my smallest just found his way to the cleaning supplies under the sink. I promise to be back, or to do an ama. A few months went by and things were surprisingly normal. Her going to work and coming home was like any other job. The problem was that she would want me to pick her up at 2:15 a.m. I had to be awake or getting ready for my job at 7:30. It was rough. She said that I should just go to school and she would cover the bills. Great, why not? Then she introduced me to her friends and some of the dudes her friends were dating. One of the craziest memories I have is riding in a limo with an industrial sized bottle of nitrous, at the expensive of the head of the Russian mob in our city at the time and a few of his guys or whatever you want to call them. Other times she would bring a friend home and we'd all get it on. The rule was I couldn't put in in the other girl's vagina. One night there were two friends. Then there were drugs, because they go hand in hand. Coke off tits and asses? Yes. Painkillers to fall asleep with. Next day repeat, or if she didn't want to work we wouldn't do shit. Maybe watch movies or sleep the entire day away. I never let the guilt get to me. If it did, we would go to the Caribbean on a few days notice. I did so much fucked up stuff, instead of feeling guilty I would just have to forget. This lifestyle lasted a good 3 years. We had two brand new cars, new clothes, & always ate out. But all good things must come to an end. To be continued... The drugs had started to get out of control. Somebody we were close to that may or may not have given birth to her worked for a DR. and was getting a few scripts for vicodin a week. We started obtaining A LOT of illegal prescriptions. I was hooked on painkillers like fucking Matthew Perry. We needed to get out. We had a nest egg, I was somewhat smart with our money and we had made a little nest egg. We hatched a plan to move south, there was enough money for almost a year before I had to get a job. Life was great when she stopped dancing. We had a new place, cleaned up and were just living life. We would go fishing, go to the beach, the pool, the waterpark, etc. However, the one small problem of my ingenious plan is that we moved to Florida where at the time you could get painkillers for ridiculous reasons. I once told a Dr. I hurt myself water-skiing. You know what they say about old habits. We would get a few pills here and there and goof off at the water park all day. Then one night our neighbors came over and we started partying. I thought "Why Not, I have Jedi mind control over that shit" That was the first time I saw yellow coke. I thought it was shit at first and then a few seconds later my teeth were completely numb. Apparently, if its yellow it is almost pure. So, as you can see drugs were an issue. Sadly, they had their hook in me also. I knew it was time to stop, and I did. I was the guy who could always stop smoking just like that. Quitting for me was always easy. But now, it was time for me to get a Jobby Job
OP sort of delivered.
Unless it's DiGiorno, that was definitely delivery.

Had she called your bluff she wouldn't have quit and you would've stayed together anyways. Plz continue story!!
I try to treat everyone the same and although the younger guys are better looking and usually more fun to hang with, in my town they don't have much money to spend. So the trade off is "hey this guy's cute but I'm not going to make any money from him." It's usually the older lonely men and foreigners that will spend money at my club. Like there's this one guy that comes in, who's about seventy something I'm guessing since he wears a diaper, and most of the girls avoid him because he doesn't change his clothes very often and only bathes about once every few weeks but if any of us really need money we just go to him (after changing into an outfit we don't care about) because he will get like seven dances in a row if you can stand the smell long enough. Then we thoroughly wipe our bodies down with alcohol afterwards. tl;dr Young guys are fun but broke, Bob smells horrendous but you'll stack that cheese. Just throw away your clothes after.
That is an absolutely horrifyingly detailed mental image and I both thank you for the laugh and am sorry to hear that.
Honestly I kinda hope he comes today because I'm not doing well so far.
The world of smartphones! Would never have guessed you were there right now. Hopefully your day picks up.
Thanks! Let's pray to Smelly Bob.
Not really. They're all customers in the end. I have found some attractive, but I'm still there for business. However , it's a bit more enjoyable for me atleast to dance for acute guy, than Jabba the Hut. I've never met a client outside of work, that's dangerous. They could be hot as hell, not like I'm going to sleep with them .
I noticed the acute typo. Harharhar. Imma leave it there.
