On Monday, Nov. 18, KMBC 9 will air the Kansas City Chiefs' "Monday Night Football" game against the Los Angeles Chargers. It can be seen over-the-air or online at ABC.com or on-demand Tuesday, Nov. 18.KMBC 9’s Chiefs coverage will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a pregame special, “Countdown to Kickoff.” That show will feature live updates from Mexico City filed by KMBC 9 Sports Director Len Jennings.“If it’s the Chiefs on Monday Night, it’s gotta be KMBC” Jennings said. “Our storied history with the Chiefs goes back to the days of my colleague Len Dawson taking snaps in the 60s. We’ve been broadcasting the team’s Monday Night games since the 70s. We’re excited to continue that proud tradition on Monday.”KMBC 9 is encouraging Kansas City viewers to support local broadcasting and local businesses by watching Monday’s game on their local ABC station.“When folks watch the game on KMBC 9, they’re really supporting the local economy,” said KMBC 9 President and General Manager Sarah Smith. “That’s not just a benefit to us, but to all the local businesses that will be running messages during Monday night’s game.”As an extra incentive to viewers, the station is giving away a 55-inch 4K smart TV as part of a promotion during Monday’s matchup. After the game, KMBC 9 will continue its broadcast with post-game coverage live from Mexico City.
