PARKWAY TO EXPLAIN HOW UNUSUAL THIS IS. BRIAN: THESE FIRE CREWS A BEEN RUNNING ALL NIGHT AND THEY ARE MOPPING UP THIS HOUSE ANZE PARKWAY. AN ARSON INVESTIGATOR IS HERE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE CAUSE OF THIS LATEST FIRE, FIRE THAT IS ON THE END OF A STRING OF CALLS IN THIS AREA. THREE OF THEM WERE SIGNIFICANT HOUSE FIRES. THREE OF THOSE WERE SIGNIFICANT STRUCTURE FIRES INCLUDING A STORAGE UNIT FIRE THIS MORNING, AND A BUNCH OF VEGETATION FIRES AND RUBBISH FIRES SOME OF THE FIREFIGHTERS AT THIS HOUSE FIRE WE SAW EARLIER THIS MORNING AT THE U-HAUL STORAGE UNIT FIRE AS WELL, SO THEY GOT BACK TO THE STATION FAIRLY LATE WHEN THE ALARM WENT OFF AGAIN TO THIS LATEST CALL. FORTUNATELY, NOBODY AT THIS HOME WAS INJURED. ONE PERSON WAS HOME AND ACCOUNTED FOR IN CREWS ARE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT CAUSED THE FIRE. The Sacramento Fire Department has responded to 48 fire calls in the past 24 hours, according to spokesman Keith Wade.Three of the calls were for house fires, three were for commercial fires and the rest were grass and rubbish fires.Wade told KCRA 3 that this is an abnormally large amount of fires and not all of them were wind-related.No other details have been released.Stay with KCRA 3 for updates.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
The Sacramento Fire Department has responded to 48 fire calls in the past 24 hours, according to spokesman Keith Wade.
Three of the calls were for house fires, three were for commercial fires and the rest were grass and rubbish fires.
