Age Dreaming: What is it?

Resource

Hello Everyone! Since we've been able to help explain what Age Regression is, let's talk about Age Dreaming! Age Regression and Age Dreaming the two ends of what I call the Littlespace Spectrum! In this resource, I will be explaining what Age Dreaming, while highlighting the differences between Dreaming and Regression.

IMPORTANT: I SAY THIS EVERYTIME IT COMES UP AND I WILL NOT STOP BRINGING IT UP! AGE DREAMING IS NOT "LESS THAN" AGE REGRESSION. AGE DREAMERS ARE JUST AS MUCH REAL LITTLES AS AGE REGRESSORS. ANY POSTS OR COMMENTS ON THIS SUBREDDIT SUGGESTING THIS WILL BE REMOVED.

What is it?

Age Dreaming is when an individual voluntarily participates in typically childish activities as a means to deal with stress, trauma, mental illness, etc. While participating in these activities, the individual is completely aware of their current biological age and do NOT experience a mental shift in perceived age.

Similarities with Age Regression

Age Dreamers and Age Regressors look virtually identical to each other! In terms of Littlespace interests and desires, Dreamers and Regressors like all of the same things! Any differences in interests would be solely individual, rather than intrinsic to Dreamers. These similarities include, but are not limited to:

  • Little Activities

  • Little Gear

  • Having a Caregiver (if they want)

  • Could do "baby talk"

  • Could wear diapers

Differences with Age Regression

The differences between Dreamers and Regressors are more so internal. As previously mentioned, Age Dreamers do not experience a psychological shift in mentality concerning their perceived age (otherwise known as regression). As such, there a some major differences that include, but are not limited to:

  • Not needing a Caregiver (for functional, non-emotional purposes)

  • Not needing diapers (for accidents that are more likely to occur during regression, comparably)

  • The Littlespace that a Dreamer experiences is easier to pull out of, comparably, than a Regressor's

As I am not a mental collection of every Little that has ever existed in the past, present, and future, I do not possess every single individual Dreamer's needs to be able to distinguish any more major differences and similarities. As such, I ask you all to take this resource as a spring board for exploring the Littlespace of YOUR dreamer and finding out what they need! If anyone has any further differences and similarities in caregiving for a Dreamer compared to a Regressor, feel free to add a comment!
