“I am really enjoying my time in Wetherby Senior’s Sixth Form, doing A Levels in Government and Politics, Philosophy, and Business Studies. There is much more freedom for sixth formers, plus it is fantastic to study the A Level subjects that will most interest me, and that will support my higher education plans next year.

“Wetherby Senior’s Sixth Form staff have given me a great deal of advice regarding my university applications, particularly around the writing of my personal statement for UK universities. I also decided to apply to IE Madrid, after friends told me about the university. Their admission process was very different to applying through UCAS, and I’m delighted to have been accepted by such a prestigious institution.

“During my time in our Sixth Form, I’ve been heavily involved in lots of interesting co-curricular activities, especially around charity work and fundraising. As well as a being a member of our Charity Committee and sitting on our School Council, I’m also a Senior Prefect: Head of Charity, which means I work closely with Mr Thornton to arrange School-wide fundraising activities. Not only has this been a great way to get involved in the life of our School, while raising funds for deserving causes, it has also allowed me to build my own skills and experience, and take part in fun events like Wetherby Senior’s sponsored spin!”
