Mount Etna is the tallest and one of the most active volcanoes in the world, with its recent activity on 16 February 2021. This stratovolcano has been designated a Decade Volcano due to its nearby population and history, in June 2013 it was added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
This stratovolcano is a top attraction in Sicily, with guided tours to climb the summit and a cableway to an elevation of 2550 metres.
