So my partner and I have booked to go for one week early September to Alcudia. I have since looked at Google maps etc and webcams and a little nervous about our choice of destination. We love somewhere lively with lots of bars and shops so similar to Palma nova or magaluf. Is Alcudia not the same and a much quieter resort?

157 helpful votes Alcudia is a historic inland town and certainly doesn’t offer what you’re looking for. By contrast the port area P,Alcudia is buzzing with loads of bars. Which have you booked please?
The port/beach area is described on a website I randomly searched

Edited: 17 May 2022, 15:17depends where you're staying. the entirity of alcudiua is about 11km in length and some bits are quiet and some very very busy. also, from what i remember, the google street views are taken out of season, so incredibly quiet.
We bit advice make sure you have antihistamine 7 of us were eaten alive while in alcudia, however we did love the area plenty of nice local bars

Yes you are in P'Alcudia, very close to the lively area of the strip and a short walk up the beach path 15-20 minutes to the Port area where you will also find plenty more bars and restaurants, no need to panic.
