Job Description: Middle School Technology Coordinator
Webb School of Knoxville is seeking a dedicated and dynamic professional to fill this full-time faculty position.
In collaboration with the school Technology Department and Middle School team, and under the supervision of the Head of the Middle School, the primary responsibilities include the following:
Develop plans for and support the intentional and innovative use of technology throughout the middle school grades as informed by Webb School practices and philosophy Support the ongoing instruction of digital citizenship throughout the middle school grades Conduct student lessons on using and organizing technology and its applications as a tool for learning Collaborate with faculty and staff to plan and implement lessons using technology, including team teaching where appropriate Empower teachers and staff to use educational technology by sharing latest research and innovative ideas and offering training and support Design and implement technology training sessions for faculty, students , and parents, including individual instruction when needed Collaborate with the technology department on AI and other initiatives; coordinate and manage technology resources with outside vendors Work with the technology department as needed, including resetting and setting up iPads, helping to manage apps and resources, end-user support, help desk tickets, and technical troubleshooting Manage technology for middle school events Troubleshoot technology issues related to devices, programs, and platforms in use by students and faculty Collaborate with the Director of Technology to support smooth operations within the department and ease of use of technology Assist with registrar duties as needed, designing and inputting schedules and rosters and maintaining records Serve as an active member of the Middle School faculty team, fulfilling jobs as needed, such as advising and duties Fulfill additional duties and responsibilities as assigned and as needed by the head of the Middle School Maintain a safe classroom and school environment. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in technology education/integration or a related field Experience in an educational setting Should be proficient with Apple iOS and Mac OS, Microsoft Office, cloud-based applications such as Google Workspace, graphics and sound editors, common educational software, a range of educational learning apps, educational iOS apps, and Apple® products. Familiarity with the Veracross Educational Management System is helpful but not required.
