Another warm afternoon with Saturday highs maxing out in the mid-to-upper 80s. Clear skies tonight, combined with calm winds and strong low-level moisture will promote a renewed source for patchy fog areawide. The denser, patchy fog will be confined to river valley locations. The sunshine tomorrow morning will burn off any remaining fog. We’re headed for a very warm Sunday – with many places approaching 90 degrees. Another front falls just short of the northern edge of our viewing area tomorrow afternoon which will be the focal point for a few showers and storms (primarily north central/east MO and west-central IL). This front loses its battle and lifts north as a warm front by Monday. We remain rain free until Tuesday afternoon and evening as a strong low and attendant cold front eject out of the Plains. This will bring the next potential for severe weather. The low lifts NE Wednesday morning, but the pattern remains unsettled through the end of the work week. Temperatures Wednesday through next Saturday settle back into the 70s and 80s but a chance of spotty/scattered storm activity lingers at least through Saturday of next weekend. -Haley Fitzpatrick
