My wife and I were looking for sit-stand options for our home office, and this one caught both of our eyes. The size was perfect for our space, and we got a matching set. I had a few concerns after reading comments about the gaps between the sections of the desk top, but the only way I could see that some of those issues happened were user error when assembling it. The ONLY "problem" I had was with the second desk when one of the H bolt heads snapped off when tightening it. There was a clear defect in that particular bolt, which can happen. The great thing with these desks is that they come with TWO spares of every bolt AND the wooden dowels. After assembling the first desk, the second one was a snap. I found the directions very clear and easy to follow. The only steps I found out of order was at the end, where it says to flip the desk, insert the (N) cutout inserts, then connect all of the wires underneath. Do step 11 before step 10. It's far easier to deal with the cables while the desk is upside down. Also a good time to add some cable clips before flipping it over. It IS a bit touchy when trying to set the height precisely. Tapping the up/down arrows doesn't do much of anything, and by the time you get the motor moving the height, it will go at least two centimetres before it stops. That can be a touch frustrating when trying to get your presets set. This was the exact behaviour of both desks, so I'm going to say it's by design, not a flaw in one particular controller. The motor is reasonably quiet, nothing distracting or irritating about it, and it moves the desk well. The space directly in front of you (where the top juts out on the back side) is the perfect width for a 34" ultrawide monitor. I'm still not quite sure what I think of the placement of the headset hanger. It seems too close to my leg and can interfere with the arm on my chair. I think I would have preferred it to be under/behind the controller on the right - or under the left side extension. Either way, it's very sturdy and will hold ANY headset you could possibly throw at it. Overall, very impressed both desks. They look great, there is almost zero gap between the three sections of the desk top, the base is VERY sturdy and secure, and it feels very well made. I also appreciate that there is a 4mm straight hex key included in the package so you can use a drill to speed up twisting all of those bolts!! The desk itself is beautiful! However, if you’re looking for a work desk, this may not be for you. There are other reviews saying that the screws don’t line up- that didn’t happen for me, installation was quick and easy. However, the desk started sagging already under the weight of a laptop, an external monitor as well as a keyboard and a mouse, so buyer beware! Was immediately unsure of the quality of the product as the build process could be better and material could be higher quality. That being said, I am pleasantly surprised by the desk. Self building the desk was easy enough, with clear instructions (even if I think there could be better ways to hold up 4 disconnected boards to create the full desk). It's holding up to my current uses (as a at-home office desk, gaming center and hobby desk to name a few) with no noticeable issues barring a light shake if i type to aggressively and it is on standing mode. There is no give even when leaned on, the motor and controls are responsive and easy to understand, and while it could be a bit higher, I am happy with my current situation. The only real complaint I have with giving the desk a five is that one of the parts seemed to be partially damaged during or prior to transit. The plastic covering over one of the legs seemed to have been pushed into the metal leg itself - this was easily fixed by myself and as a none-crucial part (the plastic itself), this proves to not harm the desk's use. We redid our home office to accommodate two desks. These were easy to put together and really serve their purpose for the price. I don’t generally struggle with assembling furniture but this desk was a pain to put together. When I got to the final step, pieces were missing. I was told the item was on back order and no replacement parts were available. So my options were to take it apart and ship it back or try to fix the item myself. It was difficult to find a standing desk with tray table, and there were no reviews when I purchased this one, so I felt like I was taking a chance. I was wrong. I’ve been using the desk for just over a week now and I love it. I had the entire desk put together in 60 min, and even though it called for a drill, I was able to successfully put it together without one. The package is extremely heavy, so I had to carry the pieces up one by one to the second floor, but putting it together on my own wasn’t a challenge. Once it was together, I plugged it in, set my preferred heights in the presets and I haven’t changed a thing since! One down side is the strong chemical smell when unpacking everything, but it went away after the first day. Super happy I followed through on the purchase.
