Excellent food for our brunch with the East and West coast oysters and the mushroom omelets! Excellent service from all the wait/bar staff, very attentive. My only observation is that the restaurant is in a major state of a face lift. There is no window decal or posted signage on the street, or the entry area from the street in the entry or the circle which was chained off with a truck parked in the area to let you know you are entering the restaurant. Interior needs some attention as well, damaged furniture and ceilings with water damage, old/dated damaged window blinds, etc.

Your staff was excellent. Made our evening a wonderful experience. They understood that we were going to an event at the Kennedy Center and endured were we able to have a pleasant and not a rushed dinner.

This is definitely not a proper high tea experience. They sat us on a booth - first time experiencing high tea on a booth. Then the tiered they brought our pastries was crooked - very unprofessional. Most importantly none of the pastries and sandwiches was good. Few were okay but they weren’t great or fresh. For the price you pay, this is not a good high tea experience. They should up their game and make the experience worth the money! Very disappointed!

Servers were very friendly and attentive. They had great tea recommendations however they didn’t really know the main differences between major types of teas (ie, a Puehr and a green or oolong). Food was so good. It was hard to finish it all.

For $75pp, I expected SO much more, especially from a higher end hotel! But I should have heeded the review warnings. I guess I really wanted this experience, sigh. First, my family was seated alone in a separate portion of the restaurant away from everyone else, which was very strange. It was super obvious one area was cordoned off for High Tea, and we were not in it. I would have spoken up, but I assumed other diners would be seated accordingly and it wouldn’t feel so awkward. Nope. Everyone who showed up after us sat in the normal area. Second, the sandwiches were pretty dry (and minimal in number compare to sweets) and the pastries felt like they included at least some leftovers from the buffet breakfast we’d attended earlier in the day! Third, I indicated in the reservation I do not drink Prosecco or any sparkling wine, yet was offered it multiple times. I was forced to opt for Apple Cider because the beverage server didn’t understand what “flat rose or other wine” was. Seriously. Fourth, the tea was mid. And there was an alarming amount of it for 3 people (3 entire pots). I think I would have appreciated this abundance more with better tea and better bites to go with it. I genuinely think the servers tried their best, but just are not trained to meet the high level of expectation one should rightfully have of a $75pp tea. Much better food and less amateur service are sorely needed.

Jose was our server and was very sweet and attentive. The cherry blossom themed food and sweets were great and surprisingly better than expected. Thank you!
