About
With over 2,000 shops, Platinum Shopping Mall is one of Bangkok’s largest wholesale shopping centers. However, you still can shop for retail items, so travelers can come here to trawl the seven stories in search of clothes, cosmetics, shoes, and accessories. Here, the more pieces you buy, the cheaper they get, and you can even practice your bargaining skills. Do your measurements in advance, or bring a measuring tape, as you're not able to try on the clothes at most shops. When hungry, refuel at the food court that has a good variety of authentic yet inexpensive food. For a more peaceful shopping experience, visit before noon and on weekdays. – Tripadvisor

- John ALas Vegas, Nevada219 contributions6th floor food court is a bargain6 floor food court is a bargain! Stayed at the Armari across the street and wondered in here to grab a snack and it’s clean, fresh and sanitary. A couple of dollars and you will have a delicious Asian meal. Take the elevator in the back left corner to avoid the 1000’s of people crammed narrow aisles shopping for a clothing bargain. Shorts we’re about $14USD for men on the 5th floor but you can’t try on clothes for proper fitting so we went upstairs to get something to drink and the food court was packed with great options for a few dollars at most compared to the rip off street venders selling overpriced influencers unsanitary food from there white tents in front of the mall.Visited July 2023Traveled with familyWritten July 6, 2023
- TalampakanNairobi, Kenya418 contributionsStill the best place for clothesI was last here seven years ago and was happy to be back. I had checked out Union Mall earlier due to reviews that I had seen about the latter being a better option. Platinum still offers more merchandise than the newer Union Mall and is closer to the rest of the shopping malls. Apart from the multi-storey building that houses a dizzying array of fashion items, there is a new wing where you can find all manner of beauty products. I even found some pedicure implements that I could find nowhere else in Bangkok. If you do not like crowds, then make sure to get there early. You can also head to the food court on the top floor if the shopping gets too much for you. Everything is wrapped in plastic, and so if you want to do your bit for the environment, bring a reusable bag and refuse the plastic packaging if you can.Visited July 2023Traveled with familyWritten July 29, 2023

We found one shop as reseller for One Piece Japanese Anime clothing. It’s cheap and many varieties. You really need to restrain yourself from overshooting in this place. All accessories, luggage, and such are also in here. Fair prices ... shop around .. generally fixed prices but many willing to bargain a little. Shop around before you buy .... same stuff can be found cheaper sometimes. two sides to mall one is beauty and cNdy generally, the other clothes etc. decent street food outside and nearbyVisited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 30, 2023
- Kate JSydney, Australia21 contributionsSome good buys, worth going toSome great gems in a big Centre full of rubbish!! If you are an experienced shopper, start on Level 5 and quickly work your way around each floor. Very reasonable prices. Air conditioned. Shop keepers not overly pushy. We did the whole place in under 2 hours. Big tip!!! Do not finish at 5pm like we did and find yourself in a peak hour that has us gridlocked in taxi for 1hr 15min. Go early and leave before the late afternoon rush.Visited November 2023Traveled with friendsWritten November 1, 2023

Good selection of halal food in the food court and enjoyed the halal food shops that have set up space outside of the mall, although with touristy spaces. The mall has a connecting elevated walk to other malls and also BTS.Visited November 2023Written November 13, 2023

- Kavita VohraSingapore, Singapore221 contributionsHeaven for shopping! Its a heaven for everyday clothes shopping with innumerable no. of shops across floors, one must keep aside one full day for it. Most of the shops are fixed price shops, though some end up offering some discount, so there is no harm in asking. The biggest disadvantage is one cant try clothes before buying (again some shopkeepers make an exception). An easy solution is to pay for one item, try and then take multiple pieces (if one intend to). Important to buy from the shop you like the stuff at, impossible to come back and buy later.Visited November 2023Traveled with familyWritten December 11, 2023
- Michael SSan Diego, California109 contributionsBest value shopping in BangkokIf you are going value shopping in Bangkok, this is the place with the best deals. Hands down. It is a bit like an outlet store, but on steroids. The quality of the goods is mixed, but it's where we do all of our low-cost, disposable clothing expeditions. They don't take credit cards, so bring cash. The prices are really good and the selection is huge. Plan to spend at least 3 hours!Visited February 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 3, 2024
- Simon D350 contributionsHeaps of shops All Close TogetherJust across the road from the Krungthong Plaza this precinct is stacked with cloth shops for both men and women. Easy access by escalators and a little more room to move than the Krungthong Plaza. Still a lot of similarities between the shops which means one can drive a hard bargain while enjoying yourself in the process. Have to take this slowly because the stores are all very close to each other with many small lanes to choose from. A good experience if you are size XL and below!!! There is a walkway to CentralWorld and the Siam Paragon which are your more western type shopping complexes. Still a must visit to get a feel for what is available across the shopping spectrum!!!Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 17, 2024

The hours of this place can't be trusted. I tried to go a few times while visiting and they were not open when the hours stated they should be.
Gave it one last try and when I walked in, it was super crowded and feels like a very congested flea market. I almost immediately walked out because it was very overwhelming. Luckily, I decided to walk a little deeper in to see what I might find and there are certain floors and areas that were less crowded and then I was able to get a better feel for what the place is all about.
There are tons of vendors and its considered wholesale where they will give you a slightly better price if you purchase 3 or more of the same item. You can find pretty much everything here. I ended up finding a few fun purchases to take home with me including some nice embroidered scarves, a wallet and some patches.
Worth wading through to see all the items available. Each floor has a different theme so you can find the floor with the items you want, e.g. women's fashion vs. accessories, etc.

Spanning 7 floors in its own building, Platinum fashion mall offers a huge array of small stalls selling various styles of fashionable clothing to suite any budget. Costs are cheap and while in previous years you could bargain, it’s less common now post covid. The clothing is mainly targeting women but there are things for all ages from young to older including shoes and coats and skirts t-shirts and blouses and everything in between. It does get very busy and closes early at around 8:00pm. Something for everyone here and connected to the sky walk that runs to the front of Central wOrld. For those traveling in from overseas there are good rate money changers just across the road auch as Superich, allowing you to transfer money and prepare for more shopping.

Yesterday, my partner and I visited this “mall,” that truly is a building of seven floors full of kiosks that sell garment, jewellry, and luggage. The good thing is that much of the clothing has price tags. The bad part is that the fake branding articles do not have any, and the price depends on the face of the purchasers and their negotiating skills. The “mall” is very easy to reach getting to the National Stadium Skyway station and taking bus 93 for five stops when you leave the station. On your way back, take bus 11 to the station, instead of the 93.

One of the many malls along the Skywalk, the air-conditioned mall is dedicated to fashion. It has stores selling clothes, shoes, belts and other fashion accessories under one roof. Each floor is dedicated to one type of fashion with some floors selling men's fashion, some women's and some selling children's clothes. So you can buy clothes for the entire family here. And if you get tired of all the walking around or are feeling hungry, there is a food court here as well.

2 of my to-go places to shop since I discovered Bangkok sons ago are Platinum Fashion Mall and Chatuchak Weekend Market. I can stay in this mall for hours to comb through rows and rows of clothes. You try bargaining here but I’m usually contented when the shop owners give me wholesale price for 1 piece.
Apart from the clothes, you gotta check out their foodcourt that sells great kway chap, mango sticky rice and their pad Thai.
I’m always there whenever I’m in Bangkok.

Well worth a visit if you are keen to look out for clothes, including those from toddler to adult. There are also accessories like hair extensions, jewellery, stationery, shoes and bags. Prices for clothes generally start from 150 THB, with prices being discounted if you buy more pieces.
There is a food court on the ground floor, as well as many massage shops on the various floors. The great thing is that there is aircon throughout. The first three floors are mostly women clothing, including sleepwear. Men wear are mostly on the fourth floor.
Yo can easily walk from Chit Lom BTS station in 15-20 minutes, or there is a ferry along the canals next door during the week, other than Sundays.

In late July 2023, my wife and I had the opportunity to visit Bangkok and stopped by Platinum Mall for some shopping. We purchased two bottles of perfume on the second floor of Platinum Mall from a saleswoman who assured me that they were genuine and on a 70% discount. She explained that the discounted prices were due to the closure of a perfume store in the US, and they were selling off their genuine products at a lower cost. However, upon returning home, we discovered that both bottles of perfume were fake and not genuine as claimed.
Everyone should be cautious when making purchases at this place. If any relevant authorities in Thailand come across this comment, we hope that appropriate actions will be taken against the perfume vendor on the second floor of Platinum Mall.

Platinum mall was good for shopping and no doubt the stalls are reasonably priced but the the one drawback is that most of the items do not have sizes and everything is a freesize. The vendors will not allow you to try on clothes so it is difficult to judge if the items will fit or not, but the clothes never the less are good quality. Shop around as some stalls have the same items at lower prices

There is a reason why ladies can potentially spend hours and hours over here!
Out of 6 stories, 3.5 is catered to ladies, and there are 2 big section in this malls. The shops are basically clustered together and just imagine if a lady spends 10 mins on a stall they can basically spend the entire time over there!
Level 4 is meant for men, level 5 is meant for kids and level 6 is the food court.
As a guy, to be honest, there is nothing much to see and I will rather just head out to the Pratunam area to get my food fix, and I will continue walking to other shopping malls to get a place to chill out and relax.
But if you are coming with your girlfriends or partner, maybe just leave them at the mall, and set a time to meet them (The Macdonalds at Platinum mall is a popular meetup point- LOL)

Do they accept international credit card at Platinum mall at BKK

It’s like one big indoor market inside.
Most are small individual traders, so only accept cash as payment. There are one or two lager stores and restaurants that do accept card payments. But check beforehand.

For buying clothes (Shorts, T-Shirts, Kids Clothes) is Platinum mall better than MBK? If we have limited time and are travelling with a kid, which one is better option between MBK and Platinum mall?

Does anyone can tell me if there's a good plato yo buy night dress or gown in Platinum fashion mall, and maybe approx fair price? Do they take card?

There are sooo many places to buy gown, im talking about glitter fancy dresses for a good price (could be around 50 to 100 euro, or more) but you get an unique dress for the price. Its better to go with cash and dont forget to discuss the price ;) Furthermore: the gowns and dresses were beautiful but mostly small sizes tho.
how much food price average on food court platinum fashion
JoeCool_KL
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia2,202 contributions
So many choices of food at the food court. Depends what you order. It’s around Baht100 to Baht200 for a normal meal of noodles or rice and meat and drink. The tom yum noodles and papaya salad are nice and so is the mango and sticky rice dessert.
