Note on the models from the Apple Watch Series 3 onwards: since this model there has been a distinction between GPS and GPS cellular versions. The latter offer use of the cellular network with the Apple Watch. You will see two model numbers on these editions of the watch. The first is for Europe and Asia, the second for North America. Starting with the Apple Watch SE (2nd Gen), there are three model numbers as a distinction needs to be made for more markets. There is no distinction with the 2022 Apple Watch Ultra as each model can use cellular.

If there is no mAh or Wh value entered somewhere, then I haven't found the information anywhere (as reliable information). If you know a source for this, please leave a comment. The previous sources for the above table are iFixit, MacRumors, Wikipedia, MacWelt and similar.

Thanks to regular updates, you can also find the Apple Watch Series 4 from 2018, the Apple Watch Series 5 from 2019, the Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple Watch SE from 2020, the Apple Watch Series 7 from 2021, and the Apple Watch Series 8 from 2022 and the Apple Watch Series from 2023. We make every effort to keep the table up to date so that you can always find the latest values.

More about the power supply in Apple devices

I hope this post could help you if you are looking for the Apple Watch battery capacity in mAh and Wh. There aren't too many reliable sources for these values; Apple itself always keeps a very low profile when it comes to exact hardware values. The sources for this article were therefore next Apple.com (Model numbers) above all iFixit.com (Teardowns) and Wikipedia. By the way, if you want to know which iPad you have, click here: Determine your own Apple iPad model. And of course there is also the corresponding battery capacity for the Apple tablet: Battery capacity (mAh & Wh) of the Apple iPad models.

  1. Is there a way to see the current battery charge capacity (like the iPhone)
    to determine or display?

    1. Jen Kleinholz

Yes, you can check that directly on the watch. You go to Settings on the watch, then search for “Battery” and select it. When you are in the “Battery” area, you only see the current charge. There you scroll down until the text "Battery status" appears. You tap on this and then land in an area that shows you the "Maximum capacity". For me it's still 100%, but depending on how old your watch is, a different value may appear here.
