This movie proves AGAIN that you should IGNORE RT #s and focus on the AUDIENCE #s!!! RT gave it a 43 and the RT reviews were almost all poor or meh. But AUDIENCE got it right at 67 altho I think it should be a 90! Watch it with someone you love. And the theme song, Truly Madly Deeply by Savage Garden, is PERFECT! The cast is absolutely AMAZING but a SHOUT-OUT to Jude Law, Jennifer Tilly and Vincent Laresca who were BEYOND AMAZING if that's even possible but that does not for 1 second take anything away from Gretchen Mol, Martha Plimpton or Brenda Blethyn who delivers an extraordinary soliloquy. Just go and ENJOY, you will THANK ME!!! I'm gonna go listen to Truly Madly Deeply AGAIN! Mark

It's really amazing story. 10 / 10 . A family oriented movie where even after their mid 20s the siblings still hangout oftenly at their parents house and take care of their mom. Martha Plimpton sarcasm role was at its peak amazing female and she looked very nice. Finally you found a movie of the elegant Gretchen Mol where she has a good amount of screen time. The sad part about this movie it again has infidelity which is not good because it glorifies it but its reality . For me this is one of my favorite Rom Coms. Wished Martha Plimpton had much screen time in it she is hilarious.

This movie could have been great, but it was oh so bad. The storyline is completely unique-I'd never seen anything like it. And in the beginning the movie was really interesting. Unfortunately the 'revelation" happened way too early. I would have enjoyed it more if they had waited till the end to find out that Danny was the one who delivered Anna. Instead it happens at the beginning and he spends the rest of the time trying to steal her away from her boyfriend. So really the fact that he literally met her at birth isn't that relevant. Another thing is the age differences. In the beginning, of course, Danny is played by a child of around 5 years old. But then when he's an adult, he doesn't look 20 years older. And as much as I love Jeremy Piven, he was in the initial birth scenes but again he appears to not have aged at all even though 25 years have supposedly passed. There is the scene with Anna's blind sister who meets a guy at a dance club and later on he buys her a bicycle. Wait, what? Really? I didn't have much hope for this movie anyway, but it fell far below my expectations.

Grab some popcorn, snuggle in, and allow yourself to be charmed by some surprising performances and a comforting look at late 90s nostalgia. As a film there are numerous holes, problems, sorely needed editing and head scratching elements. Despite all that, it was a fun watch. Like another of my late 90's faves "Return to Me" you can almost imagine yourself being part of this family. There's something comforting about those halcyon days right before smart phones and ubiquitous blowouts came along.
