Reginald Blechman, better known as Wrench is the deuteragonist of the Watch Dogs franchise.

He is one of the two deuteragonists (alongside Raymond "T-Bone" Kenney) of the 2016 video game Watch Dogs 2, and returns as a playable character in the 2020 sequel, Watch Dogs: Legion, as well as being one of the two main protagonists (alongside Aiden Pearce) of its DLC expansion, Bloodline.

He was one of the members of the San Francisco DedSec group, taking down Blume Corporation, and Dušan Nemec, (the head and the CTO of Blume). He is also the best friend of Marcus Holloway.

In Watch Dogs: Legion, set in 2029, Wrench seemingly retires from DedSec, and went to London after realizing he was being manipulated by a businessman, Thomas Rempart, who had stole all of his built robots, as apart of his set. Wrench decides to get revenge on him for it. He later encounters Chicago vigilante, Aiden Pearce, who had went to London for a fixer contract. He initially goes against Pearce, until helping him and his nephew Jackson.

While Aiden is in a coma, Wrench gets a call from Jordi Chin, who he initially believed that Wrench was sided with Rempart. But tells him to do fixer contracts, which would lead for Jordi to (unknowingly) have Marcus Holloway do the last job contract.

After saving Aiden from the coma, thanks to Skye Larson. Wrench goes and hunts down Rempart. He was originally going to kill Rampart, before having a change of heart, sparing him. Thomas would admit to Wrench that he lied to him about the whole business, while Wrench is about to leave, Rampart threatens him to hunt him and his friends in San Francisco, much to Wrench’s anger, he then beats Rampart up and leaves him out for him to be arrested by Albion, as Wrench mockingly waves a goodbye at Rampart, before walking away.

As his mission is completed, Jackson is happy that Wrench didn’t kill Rampart, but did the right thing, and Aiden is making sure that Wrench doesn’t get into anymore trouble. As of now, both Wrench and Aiden are still at London, so the possibility for them to get back to America is yet to be determined.

Trivia[]

  • Wrench is similar to Defalt from the original Watch Dogs, as he uses a futuristic mask and a voice modulator.
  • It is revealed that Wrench is gay, as he was once married to a man named Zane, but both divorced, as this was confirmed by Marcus in the Watch Dogs: Legion DLC Bloodline.
    • He also seems to have a crush on Jordi Chin, as Wrench gets mad that Jordi calls him his real name, but seconds later thinks that Jordi is flirting with him, which Jordi ignores.
