JR. & SR. CELTICS PROGRAMS

The Sr. Celtics program encourages elderly members of the Boston community to maintain an active lifestyle through participation in fitness and health education classes.

Celtics players, legends, and New England Baptist Hospital staff lead seniors from throughout the Mission Hill neighborhood in group workouts and discuss the benefits of physical exercise. The program encourages exercise, but also socialization, and is a critical part of keeping seniors active and helping with the elder isolation problem. It is the goal of New England Baptist Hospital to improve people’s lives and health through movement. With the Sr. Celtics program, NEBH and the Boston Celtics can help the Boston community, and especially the senior community, realize the importance of an active lifestyle, and the benefits and power of movement and motion.

New England Baptist Hospital was proud to sponsor the Jr. Celtics program, which challenges over 750 3rd-5th graders to develop their basketball game through skills, drills, and leadership training.
