Time-Sensitive Networking – Overview, Automotive-Relevant Standards and Available Implementations
Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) describes a collection of standards defined by the Time-Sensitive Networking Task Group IEEE 802.1. Their goal is to provide extremely low packet loss rates and finite, low, and stable end-to-end latencies within a network to enable real-time communication with Automotive Ethernet.
Within this webinar, you will learn about key-features of TSN like Time Synchronization and Traffic Shaping and its implications on the in-vehicle communication. Furthermore, the implementations already available in MICROSAR are presented.
Agenda:
- Zonal Architecture and Automotive Ethernet
- TSN overview
- Time synchronization (IEEE 802.1AS / AUTOSAR TimeSync)
- Traffic shaping (Credit Based Shaper, Time Aware Shaper, Asynchronous Traffic Shaper)
- Features available in MICROSAR
- Outlook on planned feature support
