Transferred from another college and I can just say...I want to transfer again! Administration has very bad communication skills, housing is terrible, the only big events on campus is freshmen orientation and homecoming. Having roommate problems and housing is doing nothing about it. Worried about my safety every single day. Don't go here!
Virginia Union University is a small school but that's one of the reasons why I chose to attend. When you attend a small University you get to know your professors and they get to know you. I also like it because the classrooms are smaller than your usual big schools. There's a short walk to all of the classrooms, dorms and cafeterias. The only thing I would change would be the hours of operation at the cafeteria on the weekend and maybe use the vans that are at school for student transportation in a two mile radius.
My experience was horrible at VUU. I will be dealing with them for who knows how long due to the cut corners and disregard for communication that the staff here likes to do/take part in. I should’ve known by how slow and outdated the website is that I should pick somewhere else.
The application and acceptance was more than easy. But once classes started, some of my professors failed to send me the invite link for the class. I had to personally reach out to be invited in LATE BTW. Struggled to keep up due to this and even some of the classes never added work to the to-do list, or app we used so I assumed the class was null. No, I was FAILED, never having heard from the professor in the first place. I was an online student who had to drive to the campus multiple times due to no one answering or replying to voicemails. The staff is many students who can’t help you, some adults who will send you home only to forget to contact you , and new people bc of high turnover. VUU’s a joke.
