Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, April 26, 2024 at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church honoring the life of Ashlynn Simone LeMaire, 34. She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

Visiting hours will be observed at Vincent Funeral Home in Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Friday, April 26, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the procession departs for church at 2:45 PM with a rosary being prayed at 12:00 PM.

With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to our beloved Ashlynn, who left this world far too soon. Her courageous battle with cancer ended April 24, but her spirit will forever illuminate our lives.

From her earliest days, she had a fire in her spirit. She loved deeply and always wanted to help others. She spent her whole life serving others and making sure everyone felt welcome and loved.

She touched the lives of many with her kind words and bright smile. She gave more of herself than she had at times but never turned away a person in need. She was a guardian of the weak and the wounded.

In every facet of her life, Ashlynn was a true rockstar. Whether it was her unwavering dedication to her family, her tireless commitment to serving others, or her relentless pursuit of excellence, she excelled in everything she set out to accomplish.

Ashlynn was a loving daughter granddaughter, sister, mother, and wife. Her greatest source of pride and accomplishment was found in being a mother to Caroline and then to Sadie, whom she showered with unconditional love and boundless affection. She loved to spread some sparkle into her girls’ lives.

Ashlynn will be dearly missed, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly through the memories she created and the lives she touched. Her legacy of love and compassion will forever be etched in our hearts.

She is survived by her husband, Shaun LeMaire; two daughters, Caroline and Sadie; her mother, Deborah Mire (Nicole); her father, Korey and Heather Hargrave; six brothers, Peyton Hargrave, Benjamin Hargrave, Ethan Hargrave, Drake Mire, Grant Mire and Jobie Mire; and one sister, Grace Hargrave; maternal grandparents, Darrell and Susie LeBeouf; and paternal grandmother, Leona Breaux.

She was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Houise "Bud" Hargrave; and two uncles, Corey LeBeouf and Kenneth Hargrave.

The world, and certainly Vermilion Parish and Kaplan, is a better place simply because we were blessed to have had Ashlynn as a loving, positive ambassador and community leader who set a wonderful example of caring and community outreach. Her smile was infectious, sweet and genuine. She will certainly be missed by all who loved her and knew her. May God bless and comfort her family by wrapping his healing arms around you all during this most trying time.

Her story is one of faith, beauty, strength, bravery, & resilience. Although she lost her battle with the disgusting disease, she was such an incredible, beautiful inspiration. I pray that those beautiful girls of hers grow up knowing how loved they were by her & how she would have done literally anything for them. I know that because of her love, they will grow to be kind & loving just like she was. Prayers for all of her family & friends, the loss is great but because of the way that she loved & served God, I know that we will see her again in glory! What a breathtakingly gorgeous Angel she must be.

I have started to type, and retry to write this 3 times. How could I ever write how I feel about you? How could I ever compile a message that really does YOU justice. Your laugh was the loudest in the room, your smile was the biggest in every picture, you were someone important. We laughed, cried, vented, and laughed some more. My world is different now, dimmer and darker with you and your bright red lipstick. 💄 I will miss you, I will forever remember you, and we will never let Caroline or Sadie forget you. Love you, save a margarita for me.
