Vegas is 40% off at the moment for all versions, not just subscription. I think that deal's good until the 16th of March. But the 30% off thing is useful when it's not otherwise discounted. Affiliate codes also give a payout to the affiliate, so if you want to thank ScrapyardFilms for tutorials or assistance, then it's also a good way of doing that.
This is a great point! There's no need to use this code until after the great deal ends that's already happening so the smart choice would be to get it while it's 40% off and while it comes with some nice bundled plugins!
