Discover an outdoor utopia amongst our pristine alpine lakes, rugged mountainous interior, and misty old-growth forests carpeted with dew-soaked ferns and moss. Pitch a tent, or just hike in for the day – on Vancouver Island you can see nature as it was meant to be seen, in all its breathtaking glory.
British Columbia has over 700 national and provincial parks, plus many regional parks. Of the provincial parks, 175 offer camping facilities, some of which permit reservations. BC provincial parks do not have electrical plug-ins and water hook-ups for recreational vehicles at campsites. Our marine parks protect scenic stretches of coastline, wildlife and significant ecosystems, and the coastal waters of British Columbia are widely recognized amongst the finest boating destinations in the world.
