Welcome to Pearson Field Airport
TAXIWAY CONSTRUCTION PROJECT:
Pearson Field is undergoing a major pavement project. We have already started and wanted to give everyone in the surrounding area a heads up that movement in and around Pearson Filed will have its limitation between now and the first part of October.
A quick summary of the project. We will be doing a “Mill and Overlay” of taxiway “A” along with connectors A-1, A-3 and A-4. Connector taxiway A-2 will undergo a demolition with the reconstruction coming in a different project. However, A-2 will be going away for now.
The apron and outside tie down areas, including the entire hangar area pavement will be undergoing a crack seal and slurry coat. There will be some closures involved with this project and we are working on when and how long closures will be for each area.
Runway closures will occur when construction involves working directly next to the runway, (i.e. taxiway connectors). When the runway is not closed there will be access to the runway by some form of routing around closed taxiways. Runway closures are schedule has changed for September. We will update as soon as dates are available.
