Trunk bay is pretty good but you must get there early (8am) to get a parking spot and avoid the crowds. By 11 am the beach is filled with daily cruise visitors. Snorkeling was ok. There is a reef on the right which had some decent coral and fish. Didn't see any turtles or rays. Trunk bay is not a must see but if you are looking for an early morning beach it's not bad. Oh yeah, it's $5 a person to enter.

Maho Beach is definitely worth the trip. Plenty of parking. Had shade if you need it, although a canopy of sort is always recommended in STJ. Snorkeling is decent. Usually, there are plenty of turtles and the occasional ray. You can rent paddle boards if you like. They have food and drinks for sale. The drinks are yummy!!

Beautiful beach. Will return. My new favorite place. They have camping and a gift shop. Showers and facilities. Road we took was narrow but fun finding it.

We had the most amazing day at Lindqvist Beach. White sand, crystal clear water, and plenty of shade. The beach is clean and washrooms are clean.

We had to take a 20 minute taxi drive from the port at $15 pp. Ensure you arrange with your taxi driver to pick you up from the beach at a specific time not to miss your boat.

I don’t believe there are any ‘bad’ beaches in the USVI. This wasn’t bad but no where near a favorite of all that we visited. Yo be fair, I may have not liked this one as much because it was VERY crowded, it’s a small beach and it was very loud (loud music). So if your into a party atmosphere this might be perfect for you. We were just wanting something low key & quiet. Only reason we visited the beach was because we rented a condo here for two nights. I took these photos in the AM before folks descended upon the beach.

Coki Point Beach on St. Thomas is a dream for anyone who loves calm, clear water and colorful fish. The beach itself is beautiful, with soft white sand and stunning turquoise water. But the real star of the show is the snorkeling! There's a rocky reef area on the right side that's teeming with life. I saw all sorts of amazing fish swimming around the coral.

Here's a quick rundown of my experience:

    Pros:

Amazing snorkeling: Perfect for spotting all kinds of tropical fish.
Beautiful beach: Soft sand and clear water make for a relaxing day.
Convenient amenities: You'll find small stores, bars, and restaurants right next to the beach.

    Cons:

Taxi rides can be a little jumpy, especially if you ride the big taxi trucks
Pricey: Be prepared for a bit of sticker shock, especially with rentals and food.
Bring your own supplies: Consider packing a cooler with drinks and snacks to save money.
Crowded on cruise days: Get there early to snag a spot, especially if a cruise ship is in port.

    Tips:

Rent chairs and umbrellas if you need them, but be prepared to pay around $15 for an umbrella and $5 for a chair.
Pack a cooler with your own food and drinks to avoid high prices at the beach bars and restaurants.
Arrive early in the morning to avoid the crowds, especially on cruise ship days.

    Overall:

Coki Point Beach is a great place to spend a day if you're looking for beautiful scenery, good snorkeling, and convenient amenities. Just be prepared for the slightly higher prices and the crowds on cruise ship days.

We came here because we saw other reviews and we are so glad we did. We came early 9:00, rented chairs and umbrellas and enjoyed the beautiful beach. Has lunch at Rhythm. Oh my gosh the blackened mahi was amazing, the blackened chicken tacos were fantastic and the nachos were so so good. Best cruise excursion meal ever - and the mango mojito - so refreshing. All of this and fantastic service from everyone. We will definitely be back!!! Loved it!!!

Great little beach that is a hidden gem! After hearing from several locals and a friend that we should visit this beach, we went for it and were not disappointed! We arrived by taxi and immediately went to the dive shop. While there is a resort there, anyone can use the beach and the dive shop has chairs and umbrellas for rent. The complete package was $35 for two chairs and an umbrella. After setting up on this quiet beach, we got in the water and saw sea turtles and a huge sting ray! It was so cool! A few people beside us saw an octopus, too! There is a restaurant there called the Sunset Grille with a full kitchen and bar. Great for an afternoon snack!

We really love a private, quiet, friendly, caring experience when traveling, and we certainly found all that and more at Hansen Bay Beach. During a gorgeous mountainous drive from our Coral Bay rental house, we took in so many drop-dead vistas in our 4WD Jeep. We wound past homes tucked next to the road and took our time meandering around all the goats, chickens, and roosters. After we drove around the two huge trees in the road, we easily found Hansen Bay Beach's sandy parking lot and were greeted by Thalia, the friendly, knowledgable, enthusiastic steward of the land.
The beach was well-maintained with lovely palm trees swaying over brightly-painted picnic tables. There were all sorts of beach equipment available as well as a clean portapotty. The calm, clear waters held views of lovely shades of turquoise. We had packed our own picnic lunch and beverages to enjoy along the shore. We had no problem slipping cash into the donation box in thanks to the family for sharing their slice of paradise. Thalia was a joy to chat with - she is named for the Greek mythological goddess of comedy and "brings beauty and happiness to the world" (as various websites mentioned). These two newly-retired Coloradans wish her health and happiness for many years to come!

I hate to even write a review due to not giving away this gem of a place. We took a boat from our cruise ship to this island beach and the water was amazing. We could see 15-20 deep and turtles were everywhere. Nice restaurant and you could rent about any water toy. Will for sure go there when we visit again.

We stopped by the beach after going to Maho. Much more wavy here but the beach was beautiful. We brought our own drinks and snacks.

Took a sunset tour with Island Roots over to this beach. Saw multiple turtles and a stingray. Great coral formations, too. Did not go ashore but it looked amazing from our boat.

Plan your transportation ahead of you can, we tried to use the public bus but was unable to get reliable information from their website so we ended up walking about a mile then lucked into a taxi back into town ($10 per passenger). We saw it was a good snorkeling sport for sea turtles so we went. We made it about waist deep to shoulder deep and experienced two medium sized sea turtles, several small and medium fish, and a medium sized sting ray. It was the highlight of our day in port and if you're after checking out some wild life this beach has small crowds and plenty of critters from pelicans to turtles.
