Mock draft season is upon us and that means our mock draft roundup for the Minnesota Vikings is back!
What we do every week is track the mainstream outlets mock drafts and aggregate how many times a player gets selected. Last season, we tallied up 545 mock drafts and that included a whopping 54 different players. With the Vikings set to pick 11th overall, there will be a lot of discussions surrounding the quarterbacks in this draft along with trading up.
We will track them and try to determine trends and patterns, along with giving my own analysis on how they could fit with the Vikings.

Now things get spicy. The Vikings package their two first-rounders — the No. 11 and No. 23 picks — to move up to No. 5 and take JJ McCarthy. Kirk Cousins signed with Atlanta and yes, Sam Darnold is now in the building, but there’s not a much better fit for JJ McCarthy than playing for Kevin O’Connell.-Wilson
Alabama CB Terrion Arnold
Who:
Giants Wire’s Dan Benton
Bengals Wire’s Chris Roling
The Minnesota Vikings will be angling to move up for a quarterback but couldn’t get the job done in this simulation. They settle for Terrion Arnold, who will immediately improve their defense.-Benton
Penn State EDGE Chop Robinson
Who:
The Vikings go defense twice in the first round, this time taking edge rusher Chop Robinson.-Benton
LSU QB Jayden Daniels
Who:
Trade details: — Vikings receive: No. 5 (1st) and No. 47 (2nd) selections — Giants receive: No. 11 (1st) and No. 23 (1st) selections The Giants have two veteran quarterbacks and addressed many of their top needs, so they traded back with the quarterback-hungry Vikings. Minnesota gets their quarterback in LSU’s Jayden Daniels after losing Kirk Cousins to the Falcons in free agency.-Bumpers
North Carolina QB Drake Maye
Who:
Vikings Wire’s Chris Spooner
CBS Sports’ Chris Trapasso
Philadelphia Inquirer’s Devin Jackson
Texans Wire’s Tyler Greenawalt
The Athletic’s Alec Lewis
Pro Football Network’s Joe Broback
The Vikings trade 11, 23, and a 2025 third to the New England Patriots for pick 3. The Vikings traded with the Houston Texans to pick up another first round pick. To me, that signals that they’re about to be aggressive to ensure they land a quarterback. Would it be nice to move up and still keep 23? Yes. Are there ways to do it? Yeah, probably. But the simplest answer is usually the right one. Trade with the New England Patriots giving them both 11 and 23, and a 3 next year. Draft your quarterback of the future (in this case, North Carolina’s Drake Maye). Profit.-Spooner
Oregon C Jackson Powers-Johnson
Who:
Quarterback remains a question mark, but none of them are getting much done if the line doesn’t improve.-Roling
UCLA EDGE Laiatu Latu
Who:
Pro Football Network’s Lorenzo Reyna
San Diego Union Tribune’s Eddie Brown
Now that the Minnesota Vikings have added an extra first-round selection, they can address quarterback at one of those spots. However, Laiatu Latu gives Minnesota the needed motor and versatility that Danielle Hunter provided before his departure.-Reyna
Oregon QB Bo Nix
Tyler’s Scouting Report
Who:
Pro Football Network’s Lorenzo Reyna
The 33rd Team’s Ian Valentino
Lioins Wire’s Jeff Risdon
Broncos Wire’s Jon Heath
Oregon players go back to back at Nos. 22 and 23 as the Vikings top off their QB room with Bo Nix. As much as All-Pro wide receiver Justin Jefferson may have wanted Fields, Nix can create out of structure and engineer explosive plays that could prove alluring for the Vikings WR1.-Reyna
Alabama EDGE Dallas Turner
Who:
What happens if the Minnesota Vikings can’t move ahead of the Giants? Sure, it seems more likely to happen than not, or else Minnesota was reckless in its early trade-up to grab a second first-round pick. But the class takes a dip around this selection, so New England, Arizona or Los Angeles would have to be willing to lose out on a blue-chip prospect.
That feels like a mistake. If Minnesota gets stuck here, they should choose the best player available. Pairing Dallas Turner with Jonathan Greenard would reinvigorate a pass rush that was completely reliant on Danielle Hunter in 2023. Turner offers an ideal frame and the raw traits to develop into a star.-Valentino
Alabama CB Kool-Aid McKinstry
Who:
This pick would almost certainly be included in any trade-up for McCarthy, but if the Vikings stay put, it looks like a good time to target a cornerback. The team doesn’t really have a clear-cut No. 1 corner (Byron Murphy Jr. is the best on the roster), and Kool-Aid McKinstry would be a great fit for Brian Flores’ defense, having played for Nick Saban.-Jones
Florida State EDGE Jared Verse
Who:
Verse adds some length and youthful energy to the Vikings’ rebuilding defensive front. If they don’t trade up for a quarterback, of course…-Risdon
Texas DT Byron Murphy II
Tyler’s Scouting Report
Who:
Defensive coordinator Brian Flores can use a 6-foot-1, 308-pound enforcer to help stop NFC North RBs Josh Jacobs, David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs, and D’Andre Swift.-Selby
Toledo CB Quinyon Mitchell
Who:
The Broncos and Commanders moving around at the top of the draft resulted in the top four quarterbacks going 1-2-3-4, leaving none of the top prospects on the board for Minnesota at No. 11. So the Vikings select Quinyon Mitchell, arguably the best cornerback in this year’s class.-Heath
Illinois DT Johnny Newton
Who:
The Sporting News’ Vinnie Iyer
The Vikings will move this pick along with their earlier first-rounder should they make that big move up the board for a QB, but if they stay put, they should think about defensive tackle for DC Brian Flores after spending well at edge (Jonathan Greenard, Andrew Van Ginkel) and linebacker (Blake Cashman) in free agency.-Iyer
