Chapel Hill is an amazing college town with an artistic culture surrounding it. Here you will be exposed to world-class academics while getting to root on one of the most complete and holistic athletic programs in the country. Earning great grades is not a challenge if you pay attention to the lectures. The professors find ways to make problems that previously seemed challenging appear elementary. However, if you are still struggling some lower-level professors can be difficult to connect with. The student population is very supportive and friendly. No competition at UNC. Additionally, the degree is very valuable and the professor gives outstanding letters of evaluation. My experience here helped me get into 23 medical schools. However, the obvious choice for me was to return to Chapel Hill to get my MD.
10/10 EXPERIENCE
10/10 EXPERIENCE
I started at UNC Chapel Hill in August 2023, and only a week or two after beginning campus, there was an active shooter on our campus. Luckily, I had just left to go home from class, but students were climbing out of windows, huddled together in classrooms, while a professor was gunned down and killed. Not very long after, there was another alert that there was an armed and dangerous person near or on campus. So, safety-wise, I wouldn't say that it's the best. Other than safety, it is a beautiful campus that's always bustling with students. Something that I would like to see changed is their safety regulations. Because the campus is so spread out, I think it's harder to keep out potential threats
