From University of North Carolina Asheville

At UNC Asheville, we encourage bold students to explore the world in meaningful and unexpected ways. Critical inquiry, dialogue, and curiosity are the heart of your expansive liberal arts and sciences education. First Year Seminars prepare you for interdisciplinary thinking, broadening perspectives, and the transition to college. You’ll benefit from small class sizes and meaningful faculty mentorship.

Experiential learning is accessible for everyone, with 65% of undergraduates participating in research across 65+ academic programs. NCAA DI Athletics and beloved annual traditions like Rockypalooza and Turning of the Maples bring campus to life. In Asheville, our Bulldogs benefit from one of the most vibrant cities in the U.S., with more than 500,000 acres of Blue Ridge Mountains to call home.

Affordability matters: 80% of our students receive financial aid and/or scholarships, and our in-state tuition and Fixed Tuition Program ensures our life-changing education is an accessible one.
