Junior: I like the beautiful campus and the academics and athletics. The party scene is kind of lame, and the area right around rhodes is kind of stinky, but overall a great place. Freshman: I am absolutely loving my college experience so far! Since I graduated high school, I have always wanted to attend college. However, I became a single mother at the age of 19 and spent 6 years raising my daughter alone. In 2015, I met my husband, and we now have two toddlers along with my teenage daughter. Sophomore: Christian Brothers University is a very awakening college experience. The events are incredible. The hosts multiple events ranging from karaoke to riding hot air balloons. They even have car smash events. The people are so friendly. Everyone regularly attends class and events. Their are different clubs that are useful from everyone. They have Student Government Organization, Black Student Union, The Dreamers, and many more. These clubs host different events and activities on campus. The teachers are so kind. The teachers push their students to strive to be better. They encourage students to be better scholars and better people. The Christian Brothers University motto is enter to learn and leave to serve. You enter to engage and learn all the information you need, so that you can spread it back to your community. Christian Brothers University is big on community. Junior: My experience at LeMonye-Owen College is the best so far. I will be a junior this fall of 2023. My freshman year was tuff for me by making the transition from high school to college. I had to balance school, sports, and my social life. I know I say social life. But that is what makes college, college. You are there to build connections and get your education at the same time. I have met many people that have made me come out my shell and to explore the world. The first people I met was my volleyball teammates. Having them here along with professors helped with the transitions. The professors are kind and caring. They make sure you understand work and you get it. Freshman: I enrolled for Culinary Arts, the instructors Chef Moore and Chef Saunders are very dedicated to their work, the hands on experience is so different especially when you're getting taught with love I would recommend this school to anybody that's serious about their career. Senior: I am a current student at BHSU and have completed all of my courses online throughout my time here. I have gone to campus a few times to complete intensive labs, which was a great way to get to meet everyone in my program that I had gotten to know in online discussions thus far. I stayed on campus for those labs since I am out-of-state, and the dorms did have security which was nice since it is not far from downtown. There was also a great gym and a pool in the main building. The only thing I would say is there is not many food options on campus.
