Tons of fun but long long lines
Harry Potter world was amazing with lots to do and see, and the Revenge of the Mummy ride was exciting as always. I hope they keep that ride forever. Harry Potter Forbidden Journey ride was spectacular. The Hogwarts Castle nighttime light show was phenomenal. The Jurassic World ride was wonderful and had lots of dinosaurs in it. Minion Mayhem was definitely for little kids and not worth the 45 minute wait as an adult. Despicable Me land was cool though. As an adult who loves Minions, I still had fun, but wished there was more minion-esque things for adults to do. Things to improve: Waiting in line for most rides was lackluster. There were tv screens to look at that filtered through material. It would've been smart and a lot more fun if Universal had people dressed in character costumes entertaining us while we all waited. There should have been people dressed as minions, trainers carrying baby dinosaurs for us to pet, and a guy dressed as the Mummy scaring us. The other downside was the massive crowds. We were shoulder to shoulder packed like sardines. I've been to Universal many times and this was crazy, not like the past. The lines were outrageous. Wait times were an hour average but ranged from 40 mins to 2.5 hours. There should definitely be extra entertainment for the people waiting in line.
Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback about your visit. We always appreciate any and all feedback that our Guests are willing to provide. We are happy to hear about your day in the Park! We always recommend Jurassic World - The Ride and Revenge of the Mummy for our thrill seekers. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Perfect for angsty 12 year old that doesn’t love roller coasters
It was fun. The lines are super long. Moes tavern was totally good. I wanted to go to like any other theme park in socal but my 12 year old was insistent on going here and it was actually perfect for him. A good day.

    Magical Experience
I recently visited Universal Studios Hollywood and had an incredible time! The park is packed with thrilling rides, exciting attractions, and fun experiences for all ages. One of the highlights of my visit was the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, where I felt like I was transported straight into the books and movies. The attention to detail in the shops and rides was truly impressive, and I loved trying Butterbeer for the first time.
We are thrilled to hear that you had a great time at our park! We appreciate your positive feedback.

    Amazing Experience.
Don't miss the Harry Potter, Transformers, Jurassic World, and The Mummy rides. It's better not to go on weekends. It's better to take the express entry pass, to skip the long queue. I was in the queue for each ride and had to wait for 60-75 minutes for each ride in the sun in the scorching heat. Also, do not miss the Tour Bus ride to see how movies are made.
Hi there! We always recommend the Universal Express for priority access to all of our Attractions and Shows (excluding Mario Kart™: Bowser's Challenge). Thank you so much for providing tips and tricks for future visitors to our Park! We look forward to seeing you again soon!

    It's a meee, Mario!
Having been to Universal Orlando several times, Hollywood's location is a bit underwhelming...but still FUN! We went to visit the new Nintendo World. While Nintendo World is small in size, and only having one ride, it was big in experience. I can see the enormous potential for expansion! It was interactive, immaculately themed and loads of fun! I recommend making reservations immediately when you arrive if you want to go to the Toadstool Cafe. It was so cute!! And the food was good!
Thank you for your review. We are so happy to hear about your experience in SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™. We hope to see you again very soon!

    The Hollywood Experience
Universal Hollywood, like the name, is more for movie fans with a bonus of a few simulator rides, where the FL park is all about the rides. We did the studio tour twice in one day and they were very different as on the second time, there was filming nearby, so we had to be quiet which emphasized that you are on an actual working studio. We loved Waterworld, with real working actors, and fantastic effects. We did single rider where available, and avoided Mario world, where the bulk of the crowds were headed. This made many of the lines much shorter, with the exception of Jurassic World, which was longer, but totally worth it. Having been to the FL park last December with family, I was hesitant to visit this location, but the experience was so different and as a big fan of tv/movies, I loved it!

    Universal Studios was Perfect!
Friendly, safe, enjoyable entertainment. Happy polite, organised staff. We had 2 x wheelchairs and the service they could deliver for getting them around was superb. So easy to get to places with elevators & a courtesy bus. Excellent wheelchair parking facilities & for strollers. RV Parking available & nearby. Perfect!

    Universal BLEW my mind!
WOW - I had no idea how much I would enjoy this visit. My daughter and I visited LA in August 2023. This was my second visit to Universal Studios, my first being 42 years ago. We were fortunate to be able to do the VIP tour and wow, we’re we spoiled. Our guide was AMAZING and made the day so special for us, thank you Libni! Not waiting in line made the cost of this ticket worth every penny. We were able to do every ride in the park (some twice) and see the Waterworld show. As an adult I work with technology and user experience so this made the trip so great for me. The attention to detail in each park area blew my mind. From Moaning Myrtle in the HP bathroom to beers at Moe’s place I was spellbound. We arrived at 10:30 and were treated to breakfast, vegan and vegetarian options were available. Lunch was also full of vegan, and vegetarian choices. Libni was so good to us, he made sure our bags were safe while we rode the rides, and made sure we had a fulsome experience in the park. He really seems to enjoy his job, which made my day even better. We left the park at 9 pm after a full day of fun. Uber was easy to get to and from the park from our hotel. I would return again and I would do the VIP tour if affordable, it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip.
We're so happy to hear such a well thought out and happy review of your visit to our Park! Thank you for the play-by-play of your day. We're always so thrilled when our Guests get excited about the small details we implement to enhance the Guest experience. Thank you for keeping us motivated to continue brining movies to life. We would be honored to see you again!

    Get express tickets!
We visited on Sunday 10th September 2023 and paid for express tickets which was the best decision we could have made. We queue jumped every ride apart from Mario Kart as they don’t allow it on this ride and we were there from open to close. If we didn’t pay for express we would not have had the time to go on all the rides, this was just our experience and perhaps it is quieter on weekdays. We really enjoyed the studio tour and found this so interesting to see all the film sets etc and would recommend it. Hogsmeade was the absolute highlight for me. The prices that universal charge are high especially parking ($30 standard or $50 preferred) and all the food options inside the park, but this is just to be expected. About 95% of the rides are 3D experiences/simulator rides but that is what universal is all about. There’s quite an extensive choice of places to eat, we had lunch at Cletus Chicken Stack which was standard fast food (the corn on the cobs are awful!) it was a really hot and humid day so we were purchasing a lot of bottled water which were $5 each. We were disappointed that the stranger things ride was not open but read somewhere it’s only open at certain times ie Halloween. Overall we did have a great day, albeit expensive, and glad that we got to experience it but wouldn’t necessarily feel the need to go again.

VIP Experience is best with Anna as your guide!
Took my Grandson for his 13th birthday. We flew in, stayed at the Sheridan Universal Hotel and did the VIP EXPERIENCE at Universal Hollywood. Anna was our guide and she was FANTASTIC! She was friendly, informative and all of the attractive employees knew her and said how great she was. Our experience was enhanced by having her be the one to take us on the tour. The VIP Experience is well with it and includes a great meal at Moulin Rouge.
Thank you for celebrating your Grandson's 13th birthday with us at Universal Studios Hollywood! We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your visit and that your VIP Tour Guide Anna made it memorable. We have forwarded your comments to their direct management team so that she may receive the proper Kudos she deserves. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Disappointing and underwhelming is how I'd sum up our visit to Universal Studios. Was expecting so much but it was a total let down. Not a terrible place to visit but if you're going to do so, make sure you go to Universal before you go to Disneyland because it just completely pales in comparison.

From the moment you get into the park you're huddled like animals in a paddock, cued behind the line waiting for the 'official park opening' where they'll throw down their arms like the start of a drag race and commence the inevitable mad dash to Harry Potter World.

About the only positive things at Universal are the Jurassic World ride, the studio tour (less the crappy rides on them) and the shows - the shows are great in particular the Water World show.

The Harry Potter rides are not even worth it, the ride of the hippogryph looks like an awesome roller coaster but it's actually pretty slow once you get on there and still only lasts about 20 seconds, the main Harry Potter ride is a dizzying upside down, largely simulated, ride that does have some cool stuff but found it very uncomfortable. Inside Hogwarts and Hogsmeade is really neat and well done but just so insanely busy you cant really enjoy anything.

The other rides are pretty underwhelming also, again largely simulated rides and no real roller coasters.

We got there first thing in the morning and the park was all wet, the park didnt look all that clean, no soap in the bathrooms, staff were unfriendly and looked like they didnt want to be there.. overall a very average day. The Express tickets are good to skip the line for the rides but they dont even check them when it comes to the shows. Probably wouldnt ever go back to Universal, save yourself the visit and go to Disneyland instead (or again).

We were there when the gates opened and headed to the Harry Potter thing first as advised. There was a total mayhem at the bag storage room as half of the lockers did not work. After that the lining up went quite smoothly until we got to the front of the line and were told that the ride is broken and there was not an estimate how long it will take to fix it. After a few minutes we decided to leave. They got the ride fixed eventually but after that there was always at least 70-90 minute wait time for it. No ride in the world is worth that long wait. The same thing happened with the Transformers ride which was also broken when we got there and after it was fixed the wait times were 90-120 minutes. Of all of the other rides only the Simpsons one was any good. I don't like the fact that you do a lot of lining up indoors when it's nice weather outdoors but of course I understand that sometimes it's better this way.

The only salvation were the studio tour, the stunt & special effects show and the Waterworld show which was excellent. If you have the money, go for the express ticket which saves a lot of time.

Definitely been in better amusement parks however this one is worth visiting especially. Universal studios. A waited one. Did the Singapore one, the rides are almost the same

Vip Pass costs around $ 409
Every bit worth the money. No line worry. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, unlimited water, drinks, name it. On the list.

Yeah yeah, expensive. If you wanna cover the part. One day ia 139$ and you may end up spending 2x days of the coverage.

Although this is a well known theme park, I was pretty disappointed when we visited.
The park let's you in before they open, however, you're then stopped at and at 9, all visitors are let into the actual park at once, meaning everyone is storming in at once, creating a very packed and busy environment. While everyone went to Harry Potter world first, we went to the lower level where the Mummy ride, the transformer ride and the Jurassic ride were located. Sadly, the Jurassic ride didnt even open until 2 hours later, and this was the case with a couple of rides which just seemed very annoying.
Food was extremely overpriced (disneyland food is cheaper!) And employees generally seemed unhappy to be there, creating an uncomfortable environment for us. We also went on the studio tour and there was a lady at front telling facts into a microphone and gosh, it was so annoying. She was loud and obnoxious and imagine having to be in a line for 60 min and listening to that loud voice just rambling on and on. The tour itself was okay but they have these weird 3D shows/spots included which are super pointless and not enjoyable either.
The waterworld show was nice but otherwise, I don't think this park is worth it. Rather save your money and go to Disneyland.

We went to the Universal Studio before COVID-19, but didn’t have time to write a review. The activities are fun and geared for all the family members. However, sometimes we found lines were over 30 mins wait and tickets are very expensive.

I suppose it a must do when you travel all the way to LA. Experience it once probably not again unless you have children. Really pricey visit nearly 200 dollars a per adult and every theme or ride you need to queue for over 1 hour, it no wonder you need more than a day to visit.

This was our 4th time to the Universal Studios Theme Park (3 times in LA and 1 in Orlando), but our very first visit to the Hogwarts. It was a hot day when we visited during the Spring time, so those cold / frozen butter beer was just the right beverage to quench the thirst on a surprisingly hot day. The Hogwarts area was not very big and my daughter borrowed a wand from her friend which you can use in the area to practice some magic spells/moves. She got bored after 5 minutes. Good thing we did not buy the wand. If you have a 'Front line' pass, you can breeze through all the attractions in pretty much less than a full day at the park. Our family decided to opt for the 'Front line' pass since the price difference for that weekend was not a whole lot more relative to the regular ticket. It was well worth it for our family not having to spend a lot of time waiting in line, and we were able to repeat a few rides on the same day. It will be a while before we head back to Universal Studios.

I’ve been going to HHN since 2018 and 2019 was probably the worst year for me and possibly the worst time I have ever had at a Universal Studios theme park.

It was October 20th 2019. I arrived to Universal, after eating at Three Broomsticks, going on the Harry Potter ride and the Transformers ride I head to Stranger Things since it was about to open, halfway through the maze a rubber curtain flap hits me right in my eye. Now that night I had a whole face of makeup since I was cosplaying the Stay Puft Marshmallow (Wo)Man so I couldn’t rub it. As you can tell we’re off to a great start.

I head over to the metro sets to go through Ghostbusters (since that was the only reason I went simply because I’m a huge Ghostbusters fan.) as soon as we get in the line the guy playing Louis Tully/Vinz Clortho straight up looked at my chest as he was talking to me, whole time he talked to me I was thinking “Dude, what the hell is wrong with you?”. Anyways we entered the maze seeing a very pale and kind of sick looking Janine, Winston who also looks like he has almost every sickness known to mankind gets close to me. Almost every scareactor in that maze looked sick in some form or another, it was just awful.

I decided to go through it again because again, I’m a huge Ghostbusters fan and I couldn’t just pass it up, not the worst thing that happened that night but the scareactor playing Slimer in the Sedgewick Hotel scene starts flirting with me, not by speaking but by hand gestures, I just look at him funny like “Umm...ok...”.

And just if you’re wondering, no. The scareactors in Stranger Things did not look as sick as the ones in Ghostbusters. it almost made me wanna spread hand sanitizer everywhere and give them all medicine, cough drops and water, it was just disgusting.

I had the butterbeer and I was very excited to try it. It tasted pretty good for a few sips. But then after the foam, the drink did not taste that good anymore. It tasted watered down. I didn't even know it was cream soda. I hate cream soda so much. I was disappointed after the drink did not taste that good anymore. I had cold butterbeer.

Also, I got food poisned at simpsons land, I ate the chicken there and I instantly felt horrible. The fries and chicken were so bland, even my family can cook less bland food. It seems Knott's Berry Farm cares more about their food than universal, yes, Knott's is pretty ghetto but their food is actually pretty good.

I really loved the Harry Potter ride though. A very intense expereince, and a plus, it goes upside down. But I did get stuck on one part for a few minutes.

The Mummy ride was average. The worst part of that ride though was when you hit the brick wall, the brakes are way too aggressive, you are going about 20 mph and then a instant stop. I wish they could try to fix that. Plus, I feel like Universal should add more intense rides such as rides that go upside down.

I'm rating my expereince 2 stars, the food is not very good, I would rather eat at Knott's Berry Farm. Tickets are also very expensive, Disney is cheaper, but I guess you are paying for Harry Potter and Studio Tour. It costed about 1k for a family of 7. They had to "check" if my baby brother was a child which is really stupid. Plus, a member of my family was very mad and stormed off to our car. He went up 6 flights of escalators from the lower lot and then went to the parking garage. He then went back DOWN the escalators and returned. I was not there when that happened, I was on the Mummy Ride.

Ehh experience, prepare to be disappointed by the food, a average ride experience, and tons of escalators. Swear to god, there has to be at least 10+ escalators there. Could have made the lower lot a train experience, like you get on harry potter train and it takes you down.

Had a great day at Universal Studios Hollywood. Breakfast at the Three Broomsticks was an experience in itself. My advice is get an Express Pass. I managed to go on every ride within 15-20 minutes with my express pass. I was there on December 30th and the normal pass wait time for Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey was 200 minutes! That's right, 3 hours and 20 minutes. I started the day at 9AM and finished the park by 6pm. The Magic of Christmas show at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter was a fantastic way to finish the day. Only had a day there but enough memories to last a lifetime.
