The Uffizi Gallery in Florence is a great attraction with a phenomenal art collection that draws around two million visitors annually. So there are a few things to note on how to buy tickets for the Uffizi Gallery before you arrive in Florence.

Buying tickets directly from the official website can be a little tricky for visitors with foreign credit cards and/or to claim refunds if required, so many tourists opt for third party authorized vendors to get their tickets to the Uffizi.

In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about buying tickets to the Uffizi Gallery. These tips include how far in advance to book, recommended tours of Florence’s museums, available discounts, and the best time to visit the Uffizi Gallery.

Uffizi Tickets and Tours Quick Links

Don’t have time for the details? We get it. There’s so much to explore in Italy and never enough time to see it all. Here are a few of our favorite Uffizi Gallery tour options to save some of your precious time.

  • Uffizi Gallery admission ticket (direct booking site) – Tickets are cheaper but sell out quickly. This site can be difficult to use and may not accept some foreign credit cards. Refunds can be difficult to arrange.
  • Uffizi Gallery tickets on GetYourGuide (official partner site) – Variety of packages available, but more expensive. Choose from a combined ticket, general admission ticket, or guided tours.
  • Liv Tours semi-private tour – Express entry to the gallery and an early-morning guided tour. Art enthusiasts can take this Masterpieces of the Renaissance tour to dive deeper into the gallery’s collection – 5% off with code – UNTOLDITALY.
  • Take Walks Uffizi tour (included in city tour) – Florence In A Day With David, Duomo, Uffizi, and Walking Tour with an expert local guide.
  • Tiqets.com Uffizi ticket – Get priority entrance to see the Uffizi museum’s highlights and special exhibitions. Uffizi tickets from this site can be canceled up until 23.59 the day prior.
  • Skip the line entry on Viator – Skip the line with this entrance ticket to Galleria degli Uffizi. It’s suitable for small groups and offers a Florence walking tour ticket add-on.

Uffizi Tickets or Tour?

Deciding whether to book tickets for general admission, skip-the-line entry, or a guided tour will depend on a few factors. Your budget, level of interest in the gallery’s pieces, and the amount of time you have to see the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, are all important things to consider.

General admission tickets are a great idea if you want to explore the Uffizi’s collection at your own pace. However, if you aren’t familiar with art and history or would like to learn more, we recommend taking a guided tour of the Uffizi Gallery.

Guided tours, while a little more expensive than standard entry museum tickets, offer a more immersive experience of the gallery. You’ll learn about the cultural significance of some of the key pieces and their impact on the art scene and city of Florence.

What Does Your Uffizi Ticket Include?

How to Buy Tickets for the Uffizi Gallery

Your Uffizi ticket includes:

If you opt for the PassePartout 5 Days ticket, your ticket includes:

  • Priority admission to all of the museum’s sites, including the Boboli Gardens and Palazzo Pitti collections.
  • One entry to the Uffizi Gallery at any time over five consecutive days.
  • Free admission to the National Archeological Museum and Museum of the Opificio delle Pietre Dure.

The Uffizi Gallery offers a few ticket options for visitors. If you purchase tickets via the official Uffizi website, you can choose from four options. These will each take you to the B-ticket site to select your preferred day and entrance hour and complete your purchase.

To see the main gallery, purchase the Uffizi single ticket or the Passepartout 5 Days ticket (for more flexibility). The other two tickets, the Palazzo Pitti and Giardino di Boboli tickets, allow entry to the Palazzo Pitti collections and the Boboli Gardens only.

Buy Tickets on the “Official” Uffizi Site

Uffizi tickets

There are a few benefits to booking tickets for the Uffizi Gallery on the official Uffizi website. The site only provides tickets to the museum’s sites, which are the Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Pitti, and the Boboli Gardens, which makes it a little easier to navigate.

However, the website is not the most user-friendly interface and redirects to B-tickets when you buy museum tickets.

  • Pros of booking on the official site – cheapest priority tickets, combined Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens ticket available, guaranteed entry on your chosen date/time, no hidden fees.
  • Cons of booking on the official site – clunky website, tricky to cancel and get a refund, bookings cannot be changed, purchases happen through B-ticket, and foreign credit cards are sometimes not accepted.

Uffizi Gallery Tickets via an Official Partner

Buying tickets from an official partner is great for several reasons. Official third-party vendors offer everything from standard entrance tickets to Florence day tours which include the Uffizi Gallery and many more highlights. For the Uffizi Gallery, we recommend using GetYourGuideLiv Tours, Take Walks, Tiqets, and Viator to find the perfect option.

  • Pros of using an official partner – best availability during peak times, more ticket/tour options, easier refunds, bookings, and cancellations. Each tour is rated and reviewed, available in multiple languages, and accepts many currencies.
  • Cons of using an official partner – tickets are more expensive, and you may encounter a booking fee.
