The Dropbox is now Google Drive and it's open to all

Hi all:

I know it's been a while but I kept having bumps with Dropbox and logging in and changing passwords and all kinds of garbage. So I realized the answer was to move it all away from Dropbox.

So EVERYTHING Social Network that was in the Dropbox (and it is a lot) is now in Google drive. It is accessible to all but I want to urge you to save anything you want because after 5 years of creating this project and keeping the Dropbox going, including rescuing it after someone changed the password and now moving it all over to Drive, I just can't keep troubleshooting and responding to anything else regarding this archiving effort. So if someone gets in there/changes the password/deletes everything ... that's that. (but it's not that I don't love this fandom or the peope in it, still! Listen y'all if anyone creates a big bang to revive this fandom, well ... maybe lol.)

Most of the files are zipped, but I have set up the Zip Extractor extension so, using that you should be unable to easily unzip any of them and get the files from there.

To access it, you can login to the Google Drive with the fandom account I created:

In short, after 4 years of HUNDREDS of people from all over the world accessing this Dropbox to read and share material, recently someone changed all the passwords to lock people out. I was afraid it was all lost forever but after some messing around, I realized that, duh, I'm the person who created all this so I had the recovery email for the email account used to access the fandom Dropbox (which currently contains DOZENS and DOZENS of deleted works from this fandom) so I managed to reset the protonmail account and then, using that, get back into the Dropbox. However, as of today all passwords have been changed and I will no longer make them public to avoid this kind of issue happening again. I thought it would be a fun, easily accessible thing for any fan interested in to join/add to and for years it was (I saw the inbox and code requests, I know literally hundreds of people accessed this resource, it made my archivist heart warm) but whoever tried to lock it kind of ruined it for everyone.

So now if you want access to this Dropbox (OR if you have something you've saved you'd like to add to it) you can email me directly for the access information. Once I have successfully backed everything up into the another Dropbox, I'll start letting people in, which I think I should be able to get done within the next week or two.

You can feel free to share this info widely with anyone left in the TSN fandom and anyone looking for fics, including anyone on Tumblr, etc. I can't promise I will reply INSTANTLY but I will always reply.

On the quest to find all deleted TSN fanfiction, especially all the gems which have vanished!

Hello everyone! After completely immersing myself in the TSN fandom ever since I watched it last August in 2020, I did what we all do when we enter a fandom, which is to search for fanfiction to read and enjoy. I've read everything posted in the tsnkinkmeme as well as in AO3 and all other Livejournal accounts along with almost every fic that ever exists except for all the gems that belong to the original TSN golden days. How I wish that we could all come together to host a big bang or springfest just like during those times, as I have a whole Google Doc dedicated to my Mark/Eduardo fanfiction collection that I've written as well as all the AUs/stories I plan to write and would love to participate in any TSN events! I'm looking for any fics written by the following authors as well as any TSN fics that anyone has at all!:

Social Network/Lost Boys fusion

Hi all,

Wow it's been a long time since I checked this fandom out.

This is probably a long shot but I am trying to find a Social Network/The Lost Boys fic that I read ages ago. It was essentially Social Network characters in the Lost Boys universe. Mark and Dustin were brothers who worked in the comic store and Eduardo and Chris were the new brothers in town. Eduardo meets Mark and Dustin in the comic store and they give him a vampire fighting guide. Naturally they do eventually have to fight some vampires. I think Mark and Dustin's mom was dating the head vampire, like in the movie.

I remember really enjoying it but nothing I search brings it up unfortunately.

First: HUGE THANKS to the people who came through and shared the oflights fic I was looking for. I am sorry I didn't reply sooner, I got locked out of my gmail and then was traveling for a bit. I hope I've caught everyone who was looking but ... in the meantime ... I have this wild idea.

This fandom - probably no exaggeration - saved my life. And it makes me so sad that so many of the fics have disappeared and continue to disappear over the years. I mean I get it. It's been a minute. And lives change and maybe ya gotta get off the Internet for a while. But I think fic can be archived even if the people who wrote it vanish off the Internet. Like .... where are fledmusic's fic?? DOES ANYONE HAVE THESE THINGS GET LOUDER?? I'D DO JUST ABOUT ANYTHING FOR IT!! Ugh and all the mrs_nott fic and and ...

So, thinking that and as I was despearetly looking for These Things Get Louder ... I thought two things.

1. I'd do anything for this fandom to come back, even for just one last time. Are any of you interested in a fic exchange/big bang? I might be up for organizing or co-organizing something!

2. What if instead of relying on emails like this (and getting locked out of accounts and computers crashing ...) we created a dropbox where we could ALL put all the copies of fic we had. If you had ONE saved story from hitlikehammers or smiles1777 or WHOEVER you could share it with everyone at once and see what else someone has. An archive of saved/deleted fic that we could all access/drop in/share.

So - I created a fandom dropbox (https://www.dropbox.com/) for this very thing and it has ALL the oflights fic that was sent to me - but it wasn't even all of the oflights fic - I know there's more out there. (does anyone have the one where Eduardo thinks Mark is dating Kayne West, ahhhh!) And if YOU have any saved fics that you've gathered/others have shared with you ... you can add them! And you can share this info far and wide. (Put it on tumblr, share it everywhere there's any part of any fandom left.)

UPDATE: someone has told me that you need a code sent to your email to get into the dropbox - which is a new level of security they must have added since the last time I used dropbox! BUT I don't see any reason we couldn't all use the email, it's a generic created just for this anyway. SO if you want to put things in the dropbox, or get things from it, feel free to login to the protonmail account to get the code.

Finding deleted/locked fic

I'm hoping that somebody can help me! My dearest laptop has crashed and taken with it some old fic I'd saved a long time ago - mostly, the pre-2017 fandoms which I hadn't put on a hard drive. I was wondering if anybody could send me some fics from a few classic authors while I try to rebuild my archive!
