VIRGINIA ROSE "GINNY" PICKETT, 103, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, at Arbor Glen Assisted Living, Fort Wayne. Born July 30, 1917, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late James W. and Goldie (Densel) Butler. She was a loving wife to her husband of 67 years, Herschel, who preceded her in death in 2005. She was a lifelong member of New Haven United Methodist Church where she was very active in the busy bees, circle, women's club, working in the kitchen, and rummage sales. She was also a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Waynedale and American Legion Post 330 Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her sons, Nyle (Sue) Pickett of Coldwater, Mich., Stan (Barb) Pickett of New Haven and James (Jane) Pickett of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Dennis (Cindy) Pickett, Denise (Mike) Cheviron, Todd (Ann) Pickett, Steve Pickett, Doug (Stef) Pickett, Josh (Jill) Pickett, Jake (Samantha) Pickett, and Nicholas (Emily) Holliday; 22 great- grandchildren, and two great- great- grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, David Pickett; and great-grandson, Austin Pickett. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday at New Haven United Methodist Church, 630 Lincoln Hwy E, New Haven, with visitation one hour prior. Masks and social distancing protocol required. Visitation also from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the church. Burial in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to New Haven United Methodist Church.
