Time Warner Cable this week extended its PC-based live TV and on-demand viewing to connections outside the home.
That means you can watch live TV or on-demand selections on your PC while on the go - whether you're waiting at the airport or at a friend's house.
While your boss might not agree, Jeff Simmermon, TWC's director of digital communication, said in a blog post that the service is a perfect compliment for the midday blahs at the office.
"Starting today, you'll be able to follow breaking news live on TV while you're at work–or discreetly keep up with REAL Madrid underneath a spreadsheet laid out for cover," Simmermon wrote.
Time Warner Cable's updated service change will be available for Mac and Windows, offering access to 26 select networks and 11 live news, entertainment, and sports channels - fewer than the roughly 300 live television channels and 4,000 On Demand titles available to home users.
Access to the cable company's content via PC was first made available to subscribers early last year as a beta project. At the time, though, it largely allowed for DVR management while on the go; live TV access was only accessible in the home. Earlier this year, TWC brought on-the-go access to live TV to iOS and Android.
