I don’t follow TVB movies. But I have been told, this very steps on Duddle Street are the backdrop for countless TVB dramas and Hong Kong movies specifically when filming very over-dramatic romantic scene or break-up scene. Supposedly, the actress would stooped on the steps crying her hearts out, presumably before it rains. #melodramatic
The steps here, and the accompanying gas lamps are declared a monument in Hong Kong. But truth be told, I’m only interested in the place because of the uniquely designed Starbucks right next to the steps, designed as the first “bing sutt” Starbucks in the world.
The steps at the end of the short Duddell Street is one of the most loved icons of Hong Kong history. Get yourself a photo of the steps and the lamps.
Classic.
