The Now team continue to reissue the original compilations and have announced that Now Thats What I Call Music 9 is to be released, in full, on CD for the first time later this month. Originally issued in March 1987, the 30-track various artists collection knocked U2 mighty The Joshua Tree from the top spot of the UK albums chart and spent five weeks at number one. Now 9 was actually released as a 15-track, abbreviated, single CD back in the day, but this is the first time it has been available in its entirety across two CDs, and there are no tracks missing! The selection is very 1987 it includes some brilliant pop songs. Perhaps surprisingly, given this is 1987, there are no Stock Aitken Waterman-produced songs on this collection.

Blondie is an American rock band co-founded by singer Debbie Harry and guitarist Chris Stein. The band were pioneers in the American punk and then the new wave scene of the mid-1970s in New York. Their first two albums contained strong elements of these genres, and although highly successful in the United Kingdom and Australia, Blondie was regarded as an underground band in the United States until the release of Parallel Lines in 1978. Over the next three years, the band achieved several hit singles including "Heart of Glass", "Call Me", "Rapture" and "The Tide Is High". The band became noted for its eclectic mix of musical styles, incorporating elements of disco, pop, reggae, and early rap music.

Critically acclaimed jazz vocalist Judy Wexler is known for her soulful, heartfelt vocals and her ability to find under-exposed gems and imbue them with warmth and wit. JazzTimes Magazine says, "Judy Wexler has carved out a jewel-like niche as a gracefully swinging singer who brings penetrating insight to American Songbook-adjacent material often overlooked by her colleagues". On Back to the Garden, her 6th album, Wexler departs from her usual jazz fare to recast familiar songs of the 1960s as jazz/pop anthems relevant for today's social and political ethos.
