Truth or Dare
Chapter 1: Family Game Night
My parents are some of the most boring people alive. They make logs look exciting. Well that is how I used to think of my parents but ever sense we played truth or dare I think much differently of them.
One day I was just sitting in my room drawing and listening to music when my father came in.
“Sam today our friends are coming over for game night,” he said with an overjoyed look on his face, like when he sees our dog, Jenny, roll over onto her stomach.
“So you want me to stay up here while you guys play your game?”
“No, you are going to participate. This is Family Game Night. We play games that the parents and the children will both enjoy.”
I would rather die than play “Family Game Night” with my parents. But since they are my parents I will go along with it.
When I got downstairs I was surprised to see normal looking kids sitting down. I thought they were just going to look sophisticated and well behaved, but they look just like the kids at my school. Actually they were the kids in my class. I could name all of them Jen, Bill, Matt, John, Jessica, Angel, and Denise. By the time my dad and I got settled we started.
“So what game shall we play?” My mom asked.
“How about we play charades?”
“No we played that last time.”
“What about Truth or Dare?”
“I haven’t played that since I graduated high school.”
Everyone agreed that we would play Truth or Dare. Now that was a major surprise to me.
Chapter2: The Aliens Are Here, Pee Boy, and the Canners
“Who’s going to start?” Denise’s father asked.
“We will,” Denise’s parents said at the same time.“Okay Finley’s. Truth or dare?” They asked my parents and me.
“Dare.”
“We dare you to go running up and down the street saying here comes the aliens all dressed in goo.
I was surprised my parents went along with the dare. After everybody on the street quit looking at us my parents asked Matt’s family “truth or dare?” After a few seconds of discussing the decided truth.
“What was the craziest family moment you have ever had?”
“The craziest moment we had been when Matt first arrived at our house. The first time John changed him he peed all over John.”
Everyone just blurted out into laughter while Matt sat there blushing. Then they picked Jen’s family. They chose dare.
“We dare you guys to go to Wal-Mart and start throwing cans at random people until they threaten to call the cops.”
We all drove to Wal-Mart and by the time we entered the canned food area Jen’s family started throwing cans at people. After about ten minutes the manager walked over to them and threatened to call the police.
Chapter 3: Too Sexy, Name Truth, and Zombie Baby
As soon as we arrived to the house Jen’s family asked John’s truth or dare. They all decided on dare.
“We dare you guys to go to the mall and sing ‘I’m Too Sexy for My Shirt’!”
We all drove to the mall and John’s family got onto the stage. Finally the music started and they began singing. If only you could have seen the crowd’s reaction. They burst out into laughter as soon as John’s family started singing.
John’s family decided to land the question onto Angel’s family. Of course Angel’s family chose truth.
“Why did you name your daughter Angel?”
“We named her after our Chihuahua who died two days before she was born.”
They then picked Bill’s family. Bill’s family picked dare. The dare was that Bill’s family had to run outside with a toy baby screaming the baby is a zombie. After getting confused, adoring, and freaked out looks from people they came back inside.
Chapter 4: Pet Eaters and Can’t Touch Them
“Okay, Williams’s truth or dare?” They asked Jessica’s family.
“Williams are not afraid of anything, so we pick dare.”
“We dare you guys to knock on people’s doors telling them ‘We will eat your pets’.
First they ran to our neighbors. Then they ran across the street and so on. When they had returned they were out of breath. Since Denise’s family was left they chose them.
“Truth or dare?” They questioned her family.
“Dare.” They replied.
“We dare you to run to your house singing ‘Can’t Touch This’.”
I have to admit that was a pretty devious dare, but it was very interesting.
“WHAT!?!?!?!” All of them called.
When they arrived to their home they were so embarrassed their cheeks were pink from blushing. This was the best day of my life. I had so much fun!! I wish we could have Family Game Night more often.
