Cursing was unnecessary
The idea of the movie was good. I had been wanting to watch the movie with my girls for awhile as I had watched the trailer and felt it was a great option for family night. I was disappointed in the language. It was unnecessary. 70s era or not, the children had filthy mouths that didn't add a bit to the actual film content. I realize cursing is a way of life for a lot of people, but it's unnecessary and adds no value to conversation or this movie.

Some good messages but not PG
Good messages of hope and perseverance and friendship are there but overshadowed but by more adult themes. Lots of smoking and drinking. Glorifying vandalism, slashing tires, stealing trophies, and ransacking houses as standing up for yourself. One child questions gender or at least gender roles without any real resolution. An adult gives a kid a sip of beer. Just wouldn't watch with young kids. More PG13.

Come on, constant smoking in a kids movie?
Wonderful messaging on diversity, teamwork and friendships. I was concerned with the amount of smoking in the film. If this was an adult film it would be more acceptable for nostalgia purposes but there is no need to promote smoking when the audience is 8 years and up. Made me question if the tobacco industry funded the movie. Otherwise loved it. Not suitable for kids due to constant smoking.

Horrible- really sick- trash
I can't believe this is considered a kids movie. The adults in this movie are disgusting toward children. Should be thrown in the trash. Not for kids. Or anyone for the matter.Should be PG-13 or R for language and crude "humor".

Inappropriate undertone
I only watched a few minutes and had to change it. In the beginning there’s a scene when the little girl is getting beers for her dad and his friend (not great already) and her dad’s friend makes a comment how she looks beautiful just like her mother...with a gocky look of lust on his face and body language!! Really?! For a PG movie??

"Fitting out" society's mold
Society tells us how to fit in putting many on the fringes. In this tale of kids out of the mold not trying to fit in but going beyond and "fitting out", finding their special skills, courage and frail humanity they prove that we are much more than what we are told to be. Great for younger kids, but to grasp all the messages a 10 year old audience and above is better. A must for for adults

If you don't try you don't get anywhere or do anything that will be remembered..
Troop Zero is the Best Movie of 2020.
This movie's main theme is never give up and always smile and have hope.
Hollywood can't usually come up with a movie this good.

Quirky
I really liked the movie...although in places it didn't flow well n was difficult to watch.
It is formulaic n presses quite a few buttons to try n make characters interesting n stretch their novelty in what is a fairly prosaic retelling.
That aside I'd say parents watch it first.
But be prepared to take days discussing probably as many societal ills as characters and trying to avoid some delicate topics that you might not have wanted to think about. As fantasy it was fun. But like most movies today it is what you might expect of a movie ... Trying to hard to blend feel good n serious. Just don't pick it a part n don't think too hard
