Igor S I liked this one. It some really nice messages and life lessons. It shows that you shouldn't get discouraged by what other people think of you; that you should embrace who you are, but never forget about being good to others. It also shows that often times, the ones who appear normal are just using a mask. Viola Davis did a great job here, as well as the girl who plays the main character. I had seen her in other stuff and she is really good. Cannot wait to see what she does in the future. When movies have kids, it's always a fine balance between accurate depictions of childhood or adolescence, so turning off the brain a little bit is necessary. But overall i had a great time watching this and strongly recommend it! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/17/24 Full Review Prue P I loved this misfit movie. As a child I had kidney infections that didn't match the 1st grade teachers bathroom break schedule. So the forgiving support of the troop was comforting. Also, the raw grit of the down trodden against the bias of the more afuant made the story seem real, and relevant. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/29/23 Full Review isla s This is a film with a nice message, about it not mattering if you fit in or not, something that hits home to me. The characters are fun and its a relatively entertaining film, although there are bullying aspects present in the plot. I thought the cast did a good job and it was a fun, amusing and poignant watch. I can't say I'd heard of 'Hell-No' as a girls first name before, nor 'Christmas' but, there you go - the characters are shown with their quirks and all, such as one character who has an eye patch. It has a nice wholesome pro inclusivity aspect to it and so I'd recommend to others. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Dan P There aren't enough movies with heart these days. This movie had heart. Also, bonus points for great usage of David Bowie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/26/22 Full Review tom m Light. Entertaining. A nice break. Brad Newsome Sydney Morning Herald Funny, truthful and touching but never saccharine, this brilliantly cast family movie written by Lucy Alibar (Beasts of the Southern Wild) is one of the most delightful things streaming anywhere. Mar 11, 2020 Full Review Roxana Hadadi Chesapeake Family Magazine Although Troop Zero has moments of whimsy and charm, its characters are sketched so thinly that it might be difficult for audiences to connect. Rated: 2.5/5 Jan 30, 2020 Full Review Amy Nicholson FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) Cloying, very cutesy, and very exhausting.
