Naomi Fined By WWE For Insubordination On 9/17 WWE SmackDown; Sonya Deville Responds

Naomi has been fined by WWE.

Ever since joining the SmackDown roster on August 27, Naomi has been looking to get in the ring but has consistently been pushed to the side by WWE Official Sonya Deville.

On the September 17 edition of SmackDown, Naomi approached Deville once again but was told that there was not much time available on the show and that she should check in with her again next week. Naomi did not take kindly to this, got in Sonya's face, and said the following:

"Get off the phone. I have been more than patient, more than respectful, so I'm not going to play this game with you anymore. When is my match? ... I don't know what your issue is with me nor do I care because I've been here longer than you, I've accomplished way more than you, so your acting as if I don't deserve to be here is pretty bizarre. I am a 2-time SmackDown Women's Champion. Okay. One thing you clearly don't know about me is that I never quit. So mark my words, one way or another, I am going to get my match. Now, do you feel that?"

It was announced by Michael Cole later in the night that Naomi had been fined by WWE for insubordination, but no additional details were provided.

Deville appeared on the latest episode of Talking Smack and addressed the situation with Naomi. Here is what she had to say:

"I have to address the elephant in the room because it's really getting under my skin. The way that Naomi talked to me tonight, the way that she treated me tonight is absolutely unacceptable behaviour for everybody in the locker room across the board; male, female, SmackDown, or Raw, or NXT for that matter. Nobody is to talk to a WWE official in that manner. She is lucky that she got a fine, I don't know what she thinks stepping to me and getting aggressive in my face is going to do. I'm a WWE Official and I'm not going to lay my hands on WWE talent. Let's just make that crystal clear."
