Phil Foden says 'intelligent' £43m Man City star is easily one of the best players he's ever played with

Phil Foden has named Bernardo Silva as one of the best players he has ever played with.

Foden has played, trained and shared a dressing room with the Portuguese maestro for seven years, who was signed by Manchester City for £43 million (Sky Sports) in 2017.

The pair have played a huge role in City’s success over the years, often starting in the same side.

Particularly Bernardo Silva, who remains of utmost importance to this Sky Blues side, with Pep Guardiola publicly admitting he would love for him to stay at the club beyond this season.

The 29-year-old has been such a hit at the Etihad Stadium that when ranking the greatest players to have ever played for the club, he may be right up there for many.

Now, Phil Foden has praised Bernardo Silva as one of the finest players he has played with in his career.

Anyone who has played with Bernardo Silva has praised him highly

Playing with Bernardo Silva for seven seasons at City, Phil Foden perhaps needs no reminding of just how special of a player he is.

Pep Guardiola, a manager who has had the privilege of coaching greats like Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta, Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva and Thomas Mueller to name a few described the former AS Monaco midfielder as “one of the best players” he has ever seen.

Such is the greatness of Bernardo Silva, who even Jack Grealish admitted “changed the way” he views football after playing with him [via Manchester Evening News].

In May, Kevin De Bruyne also described that his City teammate is “so smart” and joked that he could play in 19 positions on the football pitch.

The Lisbon-born technician is a gem of footballer and it is clear to see that anyone who plays with him ends up rating him as highly as possible.
