Trying to get started with reaching out to HHs going off their sites but they aren’t specific enough about what sector specific funds they focus on. Looking to jump into a healthcare services PE fund with specific interest in WCAS, TPG, General Atlantic, NMC, Frazier, etc. Anyone have any tips or interacted with a specific HH who recruits for any of these firms? Alternatively, if you or you know of someone who works in HC services at any of these funds, would love to chat.

                Pros

                • Compensation can be better than average. • Happy hours. • Free lunch and free parking. • Your LinkedIn inbox will be filled with messages from recruiters once TPG is on your resume.

                Cons

Where do I begin? • The highest promotion you will receive in the Fort Worth office is Managing Director. Do not expect to work 10+ years and become Firm Partner because one day you will come into the office and find out they’ve hired an external Firm Partner instead of promoting within. • Sucking up to leadership in the Fort Worth office will get you promoted faster than being great at your job. • Are you a sub-par performer at work? If so, you will always have a job at TPG because they will never cut dead-weight. • Never speak your mind or strive for change. You will be blackballed. • Senior leadership in San Francisco does not care about anyone the Fort Worth office. They expect us to be obedient to their unrealistic expectations. • Hard-work is reworded with more work. Politicking is reworded with promotions.

Pressure from the IPO has changed upper management and the culture. It is very cut throat.

Is having an associates degree count for anything anymore. Most of these job posting I see requires bachelor's degree or relevant experience in healthcare/ technology. Does it really matter if someone went to four years of undergrad school and has 30 to 50k in student debt.

                      Senior Program Manager

I have an upcoming interview for a Sr business program manager role at a construction company. They are looking for someone who can help with innovation in process improvements. They ask for someone with six sigma experience. While I have extensive experience 10 years of process improvements and SOPs, creating workflows for efficiency in SLA’s and processes I don’t hold a six sigma certificate. Any suggestions on how to kill this interview?? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

                      Manager

A recruiter reached out to me about a job they’ll be hiring for soon but haven’t posted yet (confirmed corporate recruiter not staffing agency). I have a call this week and I want to be prepared, but it’s hard to do without any specifics about the role. I’ve of course researched the company and done that diligence, but any recommendations on how to best prepare given the lack of details?
