I visited this NTB location in early June 2019. I needed my tires balanced and rotated and two of the tires had slow leaks. The shop did a perfect job. They did what I asked and they also they fixed a short cut that another shop had taken, for free, thus resulting in a more reliable outcome for me. The car was finished early and the price was right I'll be returning.

If you aren't knowledgable about auto repair and maintenance you will be oversold on what you really need here. If you do know, then stick it to them!
Went in for a $20 oil change, tire rotation and brake check. After they put it on the rack, manager comes to me,
NTB: "man, who changed your oil last? They really screwed up!"
Me: "um, my regular, trusted mechanic..."
NTB: "well the drain bolt is stripped, we can't get the plug out, so if we do the work we may have to force it which could break it, maybe the threads are stripped too, so we might have to drill it out and recore it..."
Me: "really? Let me get under there and have a look? (bolt had slight rounding, anyone with a home ratchet set could have removed it). Well buddy I don't see what the problem is so if you can't do the regular work, STOP WORK, and pull it off the rack so I can go elsewhere"
Then, they "tried again" and magically the bolt came off and I paid $20 for my oil change.
But then they tried to tell me my front brake pads were low and should replace them. I chatted with them a bit about it and again called their bluff. Just to confirm it, I had an honest mechanic check it and it's good to go for at least several thousand miles.
My point: they prey on people's lack of automotive knowledge, if you know cars just act dumb like I do so you can figure out how they're trying to scam you. Some of their pricing is really good but thats because their business model is to observe wear and tear or minor defects and try to convince you it's serious enough to shell out way more than you want to... but they do free tire pressure check and fill so you can save yourself a couple bucks instead of going to a gas station. - Whitney V.Reston, VA049/7/2016
If I could give this place no stars I would... I went in for simple alignment and walked put with an invoice of work that needed to be done on my car well over 4000 dollars.
Also never had any problems with the car and all of a sudden I have a "cracked radiator pipe under my hood" hmmmm... sounds fishy to me...
Had a buddy of mine take a look at all the work that needed to be done... nearly everything they told me I needed to fix was wrong... and not once did they mention anything about my radiator..
On a positive the guys are nice at the front but there people is the back.... SHADY - Steve H.Hollywood, MD26094/16/2015
I don't know why I keep coming here.
The service is terrible. They can take four hours four an oil change. Consistently - this is the only place I take my car, for the last five years. Every time. And somehow, as soon as I call them (after waiting five hours) my car just happens to be ready at that time.
They rarely have someone manning the front desk, and there isn't a bell, and they don't have a phone in the workshop. The employees treat you like you aren't supposed to be there.
They rarely, if ever, start work on your vehicle on time. I've made an appointment at 3:00PM, dropped my car off, seen that there were NO OTHER CARS in the lot, and only one car in the garage, and somehow in two hours the car still hadn't even been touched.
Most recently, I went there after making a 7:00PM appointment online earlier in the day for an oil change. I arrived, and there was no one at the front desk. There's no bell to ring. I called the store's number, and it rang for two minutes before it got disconnected. I had to go, after waiting for 20 minutes, into the garage to get someone. She looked confused as to why I was there - I guess she knows how bad they are, and was wondering why on earth I would be coming to do business with them.
Giving credit where credit is due, somehow they managed to do my oil in 30 minutes that day. It blew my mind - that's what I would expect. between 30-60 minutes for an oil change, assuming you make an appointment prior to arriving. I've been going there for five years, with four different cars, and I've never had that kind of service. I really have no reason to assume I'll ever have it again. - Jim S.Reston, VA88816/3/2018
I've had to use NTB for services on Sunday, as well as when my usual shop was closed. They did a great job w/my battery, plus replace an alternator on a Sunday. Plus they install tires ordered from tirerack.com. Don't understand the negative reviews, but so far NTB has been very good to me. They're great, especially as their hours extend past other repair shops' hours of operations.

Staff was very nice and honest about my issue. They get a lot rushes, so I called to make an appointment. I highly recommend you do the same to avoid waiting.

Made an appointment online for 1pm. Came in at 1pm--told it would take about 45 minutes. I quote "no more than one hour". The manager is friendly, but it seems that they are disorganized. I stepped out and returned to get my car and he said "did we call you? It's not done until we call you." I responded that I had made an appointment for 1 and he said it would be done in an hour. Fortunately, he got my car in the shop at that point.
I will update when finished. It is currently 2:45 and I haven't checked out yet. - N K.Virginia Square, Arlington, VA087/29/2019
These guys were very cool, knowledgeable, and friendly. They were able to help me out with a flat tire issue from a nail due to all the construction nearby. I talked to 3 different associates, all of whom were very helpful. The store manager Andrew was really patient and insightful. I'd definitely come again!

I am giving them a one star rating because zero stars is not possible. Called in advance to see if they had the tire I needed. Was put on hold for 22 minutes before I hung up. Called back and phone was not answered so I drove there. I am handicapped and employees watched as I rolled the flat tire to the office because they would not come and take the model & size. was told my tire was no longer produced. BS- plenty of them available. Watched desk employee answer phone and then put person on hold, never to return. I wouldn't bring my lawn mower there for a tire replacement, let alone my car.
