After 22 years at WISN-TV (Channel 12), Tom Sutton has decided to retire from his weekday sports anchoring and reporting role. WISN sports director Dan Needles, who's been anchoring sports at 10:00, will expand his duties to include the 6 p.m. weeknight news.
Sutton said plans to devote his time into his independent sports production company. The company's most recent production, "Playing Through Wisconsin," was a weekly golf program seen on WISN-TV. He will also provide periodic reports as a contributor to the station.
Sutton's last day of anchoring WISN's 6:00 Sports segment will be Friday, Jan. 31. Sutton joined WISN in 1981.
