Disney+'s Loki TV series may be a while off, but filming for the Marvel Cinematic Universe spin-off is now officially underway.
We've got our first look at how filming's going with new pictures from the set showing Tom Hiddleston in costume, but it's not his usual green and gold antlered attire.
Instead, he's suited and booted, with some sort of label on the left-hand side. He looks like a detective inspector, if we're being honest.
He's also surrounded bySophia Di Martino — potentially as Lady Loki — and men with truncheons and helmets, while Owen Wilson in a raincoat seems to be sporting a very similar label.
Could these men be the TVA (Time Varience Authority) that were referenced in the Super Bowl TV spot from last month? We know that the show will involve the Trickster God hopping around timelines and dimensions, and in the comics the organisation doesn't take too kindly to that.
Perhaps in the show, they'll rope Loki into working for them, solving anomalies and paradoxes and what not? This Loki is obviously the one from when the Avengers re-visited 2012 in Endgame, so he hasn't been through his redemption arc yet, and we can't imagine he'll play nicely with others.
We're definitely here for the idea of a Sliders-inspired Loki show, if that is the case. But, of course, we could be way off the mark here.
Hiddleston previously opened up about the show, telling MTV: "You've got his very specific gifts: his intelligence, treachery, his mischief, his magic, and then seeing him come up against more formidable opponents, the like of which he has never seen or known."
Following Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki will be the second Marvel TV show to hit Disney+ when it debuts in spring 2021.
